Lately

We're 7 days from the end of school and no one is more excited than me. I love lazy summer days with kids home and nothing to do but the beach and to go to 7-11 for slurpees. Almost time!

Some catch up:

Candid shots before Jack's First Communion.

Carter and his phone attended the day, too.

Always posing.

I love this one of Jack and his prayer card he received at the service. So sweet.

Congratulations from Dad.

Some beach time.

Before we took the train to Orange County to avoid the fires here in San Diego, I asked Carter to take photos of the valuables in our house.

This is what I found on my camera:

Thanks, Carter. Insurance would have been pleased to replace all of your stuff. No pictures of our stuff, so too bad for us.

We waited a while at the train station since the schedule was off due to the fires. Laine kept busy with her babies. It was kind of chaotic.

Finally on board.

And, finally arrived!

We alternated time at the park with time at the hotel pool.

Had a nice little unexpected 3 day trip and returned to a safe home. Happy for that.

My good friend, Kelly, met us at the zoo on Saturday with her two kids. Jack manned the stroller with baby Behr in tow.

It was chaotic and fun.

Lainey ADORES Maggie Beau. We all do.

And, my precious Godson slumbered away the day.

Carter, just like his father, LOVES babies. Jack? Notsomuch.

41 days until Disney World and the paradise of the Keys. We can't wait!

Jack's First Communion

We are closer to normal here today....back in Oceanside.....hoping so much the fires end soon.

Jack received his third sacrament on May 11, 2014. He's been studying for 2 years for this big day and we're very proud of him.

With Father Cavanaugh. We love him!

Party time.

It was a big, big day. Next up, Lainey starts year 2 of her own studies......Reconciliation and First Communion for her next year.

Cheers!
