Impromptu Disney Trip

My acclimation back to work has not been an easy one. Working one job is tough. 1 full time, 1 part time and 1 randomly scheduled is rather difficult. I've been missing my kids and have been struggling quite a bit. But, I will keep on keepin' on! Some highlights from our recent Halloween visit to Disney:

I was rather fascinated with this bottle opener in the hotel.  The Doubletree isn't too shabby.  Blake said they're in every room he's ever stayed in, regardless of hotel grade.  But, in the bathroom, by the bath tub?  Weird.  Why didn't I know about this before?

Beautiful weather.  Great day for Disney!

Christmas is peaking through.

Jack Skellington, meet Jack Starnes.

"Why are you wearing my sweatshirt?  I think that's mine!  And, I know that hat is mine!"

Jack was mesmerized.

Lovely Laine.

New favorite lunch spot.

Nope.  Too much.

You should have seen what some people were wearing.

Carter lost a tooth mid-day.

The beginning of his next round of losing teeth.  Big kiddo.

Here is where Disneyland gets fun.

We can ride almost every ride in the park together.  As a family.

This was my first time on the Hollywood Tower of Terror.  Jack and Lainey, too.

Loved it!

Another new ride to us.

Another new-to-us ride.  Goofy's Flight School.

Teensy 4 seater cars on skinny tracks.  Reminds me of old school carnival coasters.

Awesome views from the top.

Stow away kitteh!!!!!!!!  I wonder how many live at the park?

Kids think it looks like Batman.

Wouldn't that be nice?  Batman escaped the Starnes house only to upgrade to Disneyland.  Same order of chaos.  Just slightly larger in scale.

I like this theory.  We'll keep it.

Off to work.  Halloween week is ahead with a pumpkin patch visit, carving pumpkins, roasting seeds, school parades, trick-or-treating and more!

Happy Halloween week!

Lainey Caroline's 5th Halloween Birthday Bash

I got a bit carried away.

But, it was a blast!

Check out my pics at www.facebook.com/momslittlesecrets for details on where I bought most of the items used.

Blake replicated Cinderella's coach.......found on the internet....and then added a Nightmare Before Christmas graveyard.  So very Starnes-esque.

Our precious 5 year old.

Time flies, yall.

Old school tootsie pop ghosts.

Football outside for the guys.

My favorite - cheese cloth ghosts.

The gazebo housed the "guess the body part" game run by Carter and friends.

Spiders by Casey.

Foam by our over-zealous gardener who put too much bleach in it.

Dozens of children!

Lainey and her one true love.

Meow.

Trying to get a kiss from Ainsley.

I just had the longest day ever at work.  Then, Blake texted me to head north after my shift ended, check into the DoubleTree, take a bath, order room service and relax while he takes the kids to Disneyland.

Tomorrow, we'll go as a family.  Last time in Halloween themed Disney!  Christmas Disney is up shortly after.

What to start planning next?
Thanksgiving with Caroline and more!

And, then shortly after our suprise Christmas gift to the kids. You won't believe what we have in store.

Pretty Much Big Time Now

OK, yall know I'm slightly completely obsessed with Very Jane.  A couple of months ago, I wrote in asking if they had an affiliate program.  They finally do!  Take a look to the right.  That link will take you straight to the Very Jane site and if you buy starting from that link, I will get a small percentage of the sale.  Not big money here......don't get too excited........but I adore this company so much, I want to do my part to spread the word about how great it is and so here we go!

They sell a lot of stuff like this.

And, plenty more like this.

Lots for grown ups, too.  Fabulous jewelry, scarves, household linens, decor, etc, etc.

Check in every day.  I promise you won't regret it!
