Museum Trip With Dad

Our weekend included a trip to the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. We had not been in several weeks and Blake had never been with us, so it was fun to show him around.

Jack in one of the atriums.... We plan to come back with swimsuits eventually to play in the fountain outside. Click on the picture to see more.

Carter in the Space Odyssey.

Jack in his favorite, the Discovery Zone.

Carter loves it there, too.

Here is Carter in front of a replica of the Titanic. A huge exhibit just landed at our museum on the tragedy and we are anxious to go back to learn more....while Caroline is in town....and without Jack so we can really see a lot. Believe it or not, the baby has little interest in the early 1900's.

Such a great kid.

In the Prehistoric wing.

Learning about babies and seeing where our baby girl is in progress. It won't be long!

And, our baby boy being as patient and agreeable as a 14 month old can be.

How About Them Rockies?

Upon arriving to Colorado, we were told that the Rockies were "OK" and not much to brag about. Since then, we've been to 3 home games and have had a great time at each. We love the atmosphere and fun, regardless of their record. The Yankees were just in town and that would have seemed like an automatic loss, but the Rockies proved otherwise. Who knew?!

A good article on the sweep...enjoy!

Wednesday At Home

Besides a doctor's visit for almost-never-sick Carter, we stayed in most of the day and avoided the high temperatures outside. A few pictures of the boys....

Jack sharing his milk with Batman.

Not interested.

But, Jack won't give up.

Carter making Jack laugh so hard....click on this one for a close up of the baby in hysterics.

And, the sweet boy still trying to share his milk.

Why I Love Raising Boys

In transitioning Jack to his new bedroom and starting to prepare the nursery for the baby girl, several pieces of decor were on the floor and in Carter's immediate reach for a few days. This sweet bird cage became a stage for Darth Vader and a Storm Trooper.

Father's Day

Father's Day arrived with 95 degree temperatures in Denver which is super hot for this area! We went into the city to see the Rockies play Tampa Bay and then we were off to Elitch Gardens for the afternoon.

Jack at the game.

Carter trying to stay cool.

Our next destination.....you can see Elitch's from the stadium.

Carter in the Kids Interactive area trying out his pitching arm.

The boys on Father's Day.

Our first stop at Elitch's was at the water park. It's total mayhem....which makes no sense to me....because even with the stifling heat, the water is SO cold.

But, just like our last trip out there....never too cold for Carter.

Blake and Jack consider going in and quickly decline.

Carter's favorite ride. The "thumbs up" means that the kids want to go around again. Usually, there is one crying and they let him off and then it's one more time around.

I love this one of Carter with his hands up, ready to go.

Jack, hysterical with laughter at the ball party.

Bumper cars.

Dad and son on a big-boy ride.

Mom and Jack wait patiently behind.

They're in these last two....look close.

Father's Day Cookout on Saturday

We cooked out Saturday night in honor of Blake for Father's Day. Here are the boys opening presents and getting ready for dinner. Thankfully, the first part of our patio is done....which is a good thing for us.....because we LIVE outside during the summers and eat out there often.

Carter picked out a sling shot for Dad from the $1 spot at Target. For holidays, I frequently let him pick out 1 item from that section just to see what he would choose.

Carter reading Dad the card he made.

And, with his handprint.....

Jack enjoying being outside.

Dinner time.
