On The Porch

As mentioned before, we spend a lot of time outside on our front porch. It's pretty big and provides some shaded time outdoors on hot days.

Occasionally, a toad will appear and sit for the day and each time Jack is beside himself with excitement. Of course, he has no idea how to handle him and will try to pick him up just like a toy. The poor toad just sits there in frustration.

Here they both are....Jack on the hunt and the toad hiding behind the flower pot.

Jack finally finds him and starts yelling "BAAAHHH!!!"....a sound he insists every animal makes....whether it's a toad, horse, snail, etc.

Boulder Arts Festival

We absolutely love Boulder. Although some natives have suggested we should not....as people (particularly south of Denver) claim it's too liberal, too hippie, too "out there", none of those aspects have affected us, so we continue to visit. The Pearl Street Mall is lovely with a ton to do and the beauty of all the trees, the Rocky Mountain Flatirons, the river....they're hard to argue with.

So, a couple of weeks ago, we attended the Boulder Arts Festival. It was a great night like many others we've spent there.

New Boots

In preparation for fall, we've been going through the boys' clothes to see what fits and what we need to purchase. Upon moving to Colorado last year, we spent a small fortune on skis, bindings, boots, poles, ski pants, jackets, socks, a helmet, etc.....all in the name of being Colorado-ready. Glad we did...we got hit with the most extreme winter this area has seen in decades.

This year will be much easier, as we have most of what we need.....and will just fill in a few things here and there.

Jack tried on his boots and he is LOOKING GOOD in them!!! He loves them...walked around the house for a while admiring himself.

Dinner With Jeff

A good friend of ours was in town on business last week, so we met him out for dinner. Seeing people like Jeff (you, too, Teel!) make us miss Texas a lot!

Bruiser

Jack is everywhere these days. Climbing up and down our stairs (when he can get past the baby gate)....running around the yard.....he's into everything.

We spend a lot of time outside on our front porch and Jack can usually navigate around it well. Unfortunately, he took a tumble the other day and ended up looking like this.....

Poor guy!
