Scoop

The Caroline visit continues.

We've taken lots of naps.

And, we created the vegetable garden seen here.  Hummingbird garden coming up next.

We rode next to Rexy during a visit to the harbor.

I want this boat.

It's a house boat.  See?

We teased Caroline with her childhood nickname.

(Named by my big brother, Chris).

Video games have been played.

We ventured out to Wegowand for a few hours on Wednesday.

Laine tried very hard to qualify in height for several rides.  Sweet girl.

Big brother Jack helped her buckle in the rides she could ride.

Love this pic.

There were princesses.

And, Batman was there.

We found Caroline's favorite, Granny's Apple Fries.

And, the little ones got lost in the enormous playground.

Jackie loved on Caroline.  We don't see much of this, you know.

Chocolate covered marshmallow skewers turned into light sabers.

All three tried their strength on the fire truck.  This is a super cute challenge......the trucks drive to the houses and then kids put out the 'fires' with water hoses.

More princesses.

Jack and Lainey finally rode this darling ride I adored when Carter was their age.

Actually, Laine almost didn't make it on.  I had to coach her to be '4' when asked......and as I was telling the Legoland peep that she was, she blurted out "Mom, I only pe-tending to be 4.  I weally free!"

Awesome.

Tried for a group picture.

But, a princess distracted everyone.

Success, finally!

MGM Was Begas!

Mini Land is so fun.  Little ones are in awe.

We met Blake at home and traded the punks for some freedom.

Caroline and I took Carter shopping, where she treated him to new Toms.  His are the burlap ones.

I love them.

Know what is best about them?  He'll grow out of this size in 3 months and then they'll be mine.

Hahahahahahahaha.

We love Toms.

Another thing crossed off our Summer List.

Back today from the beach.  We've all showered and are headed out to Ruby's on the pier for dinner.

The weather has been slightly more agreeable here.  High of 81 today.

Cool down, San Diego!

Hope yall are having a good week, bloggies.

The 4th

We had a good one!

Caroline and I made these ice box cookies while the fam played on the beach.
I've never flavored food with Jello.  It works!

We drove into the city later than we had planned......but the kids had to bathe after returning from the beach.  We grabbed a good spot, regardless.  Sat in front of the Tile Shop in Seaport Village.  Great view of the boats and fireworks.

Brought a picnic and visited before the show.

The kids love Seaport Village.  Ducks to see......cute shops to peruse.....all by the water.  Caroline and I like it, too.  Reminds us of our vacations here.

Go Fish with the punks.  Super fun!

I love seeing little faces light up when they see the fireworks.

BFF.

This guy, too.

Sweet Blake walked a mile plus to park the car while we secured our spots.

Urban Lounge is a cute store in the village.  They carry bebe Toms!  Love them.

Happy kids.

I promise my kids don't live on soda.  It seems that I'm always posting pictures where they're downing some sugary drink.

My pretty girls.

The kids played football and then everyone practiced touchdown dances.

Blake's was fantastic.

Caroline was really into it.

Then, Blake got crazy and joined her for the Roger Rabbit.

They even clicked heals like Kid 'n Play.

I ain't telling no lie.

Everyone danced.  We're a wild bunch.

Crab hunting.

Home late......and slept in.  There is a strange phenomena in the Starnes house right now.  Kids are sleeping until 9am each morning.  Granted, they are up late.....but that typically doesn't guarantee a late wake up.  It's been lovely.

I love lazy summer.

We've been home all day......naps for most.......cooking out tonight and then a trip out somewhere.  Either the harbor or the zoo.

Back soon!
