Off To Ski!

Many wonderful pictures to post from Christmas Day, but we're too tired and need to sleep before a big day of skiing tomorrow. I'll catch up asap.

Here is Caroline getting her $100 ski lesson (thanks, Blake!), free of charge, in her jammies and in the luxury of our own home. Tell me if you can beat that!

Merry Christmas!

Christmas Eve arrived and we finally got to see Caroline! We've waited days and days and through delays even today....but she is here now and we couldn't be happier. And, it started snowing just hours before she arrived, ensuring a beautiful white Christmas.

This Baby Is Crawling!

Just shy of 8 months, Jack is on the move. He's been crawling for a week or so now, but has really been getting the hang of it over these past few days. His best incentive is some sort of electronic device (cell phone, remote, etc) rather than a toy.

Thank You, Cody

Just a few days ago, my brother Cody officially ended his career with the United States Marines. He's been off of "reserve" status for a long time now, but he was still elligible to be called to duty if the need arose. December 20 marked his last day to be called and although we fully support his service in the Iraq war, it is a wonderful feeling to know he will not be going back.

Two years ago, Cody celebrated Christmas in an abandoned Iraqi train station, sleeping on the concrete, if memory serves me right. He spent several months overseas throughout Iraq defending our country. I'm very proud of his service and know that he did well.
