Super Dad

Last week, Blake took the boys to the Children's Museum in Denver for a night out. It was super crowded, so they didn't stay too long, but still had fun.

Amazingly, Blake managed to wrangle both boys in a busy museum, plus take pictures. He's really getting the hang of this!

Upon arriving home, Jack tried on another pair of snow boots. He loved these, too. The order was actually intended for Carter.....I bought a size "6 kids".....which ended up being a 6 in Jack's sizing. Luckily, they're both in need of a 6! Still working on Carter's....

Date Night

With Carter at a birthday party all day on Saturday and then an accompanying sleepover in Castle Rock, Blake and I spent an entire afternoon, evening and morning kid free!!!! Jack went to Debbie's for the night and so we lived it up with a movie out and a night in.

We didn't do a thing on our list as far as preparing for the baby goes....no house work.....nothing at all we needed to. We just sat in our house and visited and commented every now and then on how quiet things were.

We're trying to take a few opportunities like this before our lives really turn nuts with 3. It's the calm before the storm you might say....

Sunset

Just a couple of pictures of a recent sunset on the mountains. We've been here almost a year now and I can't ever see tiring of the natural beauty in Colorado.

Preparing for Baby Girl

The second nursery in our house is just about done! Carter and I are working diligently to put the finishing touches on the new baby's room. We painted her wooden letters bright pink to match the wall and then later added polka dots. Here is Carter hard at work....and he insists on helping with everything.
