Question Of The Week

Blake and I are always the last to get everything - flat screen TV's (still using Blake's monster TV from college), computers (refused to get one until we bought our first house and then waited another year to be sure we could make our mortgage payment), cell phones (turned mine off when we got married to save money), Tivo (still don't have one!). In summary, we're pretty lame.

***What is the one electronic device you can't live without?

Copper Mountain

We are completing our Colorado ski resort tour tomorrow with a visit to Copper Mountain. Been just about everywhere else in Summit County, Aspen and beyond.

How lucky to live in Colorado.

Daddy's Here!

The Starnes House is full of love and happiness tonight now that Blake is home. A few pictures from his arrival this evening at Denver International Airport.

Sweetheart Carter made a homemade sign.

The wait was longer than usual due to de-icing in Kansas City, so the kids kept busy. Lainey tried to call Blake on what she thinks is a phone, although it is actually a pretend remote control. Jen, I believe you gave this to Jack during your visit a year or so ago.

And, Jack played with trains.

I was lucky enough to snap this picture of Jack running towards Blake. Not a dry eye in the fam.

Happy Blake. So glad he's home.

Valentine Fun

We are borderline obnoxious at this point with anticipation of Blake's arrival tomorrow evening. The house is filled with Valentine cards and notes and the kids are in round-the-clock lovey dovey, heart clad clothes now that we've received another set of shirts from Britney.

We made cookies a couple of days ago. Love Jack's tongue sticking out while he's concentrating. And, don't even worry about the close proximity of his toddler shoes to the cookie dough. A little dirt never hurt anyone.

Rolling out cookie dough and cutting sugar cookies for this group nearly sent me over the edge. Way too much "help". So, this ended our baking lesson for the day. And, the cookies were replaced with trains.

Lainey Bug in her new Valentine gear.

Jack, too....pushing her in her doll stroller.

A hug from big brother.

24 hours had passed since baking the cookies and I had temporarily forgotten what an awful mess 3 children can make in the kitchen working together. So, we decorated them.

Again, pay no attention to his feet.

Lainey cannot seem to eat these days without covering her hair with whatever should be going in her mouth.

Sweetness.

Took the little ones outside this morning to try to get a picture. Didn't get much other than, "Hand over the candy!"

These two look like they mean business, so I obliged.

Now she's happy.

Laughy girl.

And, boy.

Movie Review

So cute. So fun.

Ginnifer Goodwin might be my new favorite actress.

It will make you want to fall in love! (or stay in love for old folks like me)
