Florida - Not Sure What Day It Is

Still having a blast!

Kids went late night crab hunting.

Their bounty:

Boys were so proud.

Another day at the beach.

Trysten dug to China and almost got there.

Anyone want to sit next to Jack?

Custom made koozies for the trip.  Kids have their versions, too.

Cute family!  We rented bikes and everyone's taking turns.

Got out to Bud and Ally's last night for a couple of cocktails.

Loved sitting with a night time ocean view.
Phones and cameras have been confiscated by kids - even as young as Kellen.  We have lots of these kinds of shots.  :)

Last day with the Starnes family and then we're off to our next destination!

Florida - Days 5 and 6

I don't even know what day it is.

Vacation time!

First up, Blake's bag was found!!!!!!!!!  5 days without it.  Awesome.

Look what Lara and Lindi brought home from their crab hunt.

The kids let it go in the pool and had a fun snorkeling excursion.

I'm borrowing from Britney's pictures......here is our beach house on the other side.  It's fabulous.

Punk Maci.  Love this kid.

Punk Jack.

Went to Seaside for the evening to eat at old school Bud & Alley's.  Shopped before hand.  I could spend a fortune here!

Took this pic of Laine last year.  Hopefully we'll keep coming back and can see how she grows.

Britney, Lara and I forced the family down to the beach after dinner for some "formal" pics.  Or, more formal than the swim suit shots.

Ended one evening with Pa on the guitar and the girls go-go dancing.  Kellen joined in!

We're up on Thursday.......about noon right now........Blake just returned from the ER after almost slicing off his thumb during an unfortunate can opener incident.

Let's line this up.

Blake's disasters:

lost luggage
fall off the boardwalk
slicing off his thumb

As I said before, that's my husband!

Florida Days 3 and 4

Internet's up!

After settling in and getting a good night of sleep after the all nighter plane trip, I woke to a morning full of gifts and then we headed to the beach.

Brit passed out cups for all the girls.

The house comes with a community pool/bar/restaurant, etc.  Just steps from the beach.

Prior to leaving, I found a near empty bottle of vodka, consumed the night before.  Pretty much in its entirety by Brad and Blake.  At about 2am, these smarties took off for the beach on the little boys' bikes.  Blake wasn't wearing the fashionable head lamp used mostly by miners, but owned by my husband for some unknown reason, so he trailed Brad with a small flashlight.

This combination - the unfortunate case of being overserved and dim lightly led Blake over the board walk and into the sand, via a front flip off his bike, landing belly-flop style, but on his back.

Poor guy.  Lost luggage.  Now, he says his body feels like he fell off a 2 story house.

That's my husband!

After catching up and hearing all the stories, we made it from the pool to the beach.

It's absolutely beautiful.

One of Pa's gifts included this camo belt for beers.  But, I bet you can't see it because it's camouflaged.

Could he be prettier?  This is Kellen Thomas.  Our youngest for now!

A storm rolled in and we learned how to exit the beach swiftly.

Back at the house, we passed out more gifts, including these dinosaur Chuck Taylors for KT.

Poor guy's shirt looks like a dress.

I didn't chicken out this night and joined Blake, Brad, Lindi, and Lara for a late night beach visit.

Do you see that?

12 years of love.

Late night, but thankfully all of the kids have been worn out and sleeping late.

We woke to a morning of playing bendaroos over breakfast.  Maci fashioned hers into glasses.

Back to the beach!

I brought my horns out for Brad.

Family pic!

Not our 'formal' one that will be made this evening, but I love this one!

A few updates:

*Our last "mystery" bag is still missing and I don't think there's much hope for it now.

*We're loving the beach, the community pool and the one at our house.

*Jack's splinters are "wiggling out", as he has said it, while his hands become wrinkly in the water. No doctor visit needed.

*Seaside visit tonight.

Will hopefully post again with more pics and details soon!
