Lately

We're 7 days from the end of school and no one is more excited than me. I love lazy summer days with kids home and nothing to do but the beach and to go to 7-11 for slurpees. Almost time!

Some catch up:

Candid shots before Jack's First Communion.

Carter and his phone attended the day, too.

Always posing.

I love this one of Jack and his prayer card he received at the service. So sweet.

Congratulations from Dad.

Some beach time.

Before we took the train to Orange County to avoid the fires here in San Diego, I asked Carter to take photos of the valuables in our house.

This is what I found on my camera:

Thanks, Carter. Insurance would have been pleased to replace all of your stuff. No pictures of our stuff, so too bad for us.

We waited a while at the train station since the schedule was off due to the fires. Laine kept busy with her babies. It was kind of chaotic.

Finally on board.

And, finally arrived!

We alternated time at the park with time at the hotel pool.

Had a nice little unexpected 3 day trip and returned to a safe home. Happy for that.

My good friend, Kelly, met us at the zoo on Saturday with her two kids. Jack manned the stroller with baby Behr in tow.

It was chaotic and fun.

Lainey ADORES Maggie Beau. We all do.

And, my precious Godson slumbered away the day.

Carter, just like his father, LOVES babies. Jack? Notsomuch.

41 days until Disney World and the paradise of the Keys. We can't wait!

I bet your kids are just excited about the last day of school and lazy summer days as you are! Too scary with the fires. Glad all is well.

OMG! I laughed out loud about Carter's pictures. That is so funny. Almost something out of a Family Circus comic.
So, does Kelly and family have season passes too? Will this be your first to DisneyWorld? Where are you staying?

Cute! I can't believe you got so many pic of MB since she is always all over the place. Fun days always with the Starnes kids. They are THE BEST. Joys to be around.

Dee, my husband and I get in free to the zoo with our military IDs. The SD zoo lets all Active Duty and drilling Reservists in free with our military IDs.

Love his idea of the valuables!! Made me laugh out loud! So glad the fire abated and you all stayed safe. When are you headed to WDW? I could do that math, but is that really necessary? :) Would love to have a trip in the near future! :)

Yay for end of school days!
