The Shaggy Boy

Carter received a cute "shaving kit" for Easter and immediately got busy working on his "whiskers". After all the work, however, he decided that he was just fine being a 6 year old boy without such responsibilities.

Colorado Weather

The weather here has been absolutely gorgeous these past couple of weeks. We've taken every opportunity to get outside and walk...cook out...ride bikes, etc. It was actually 74 degrees the other day!

The snow is not gone for good, though. We have showers in the forecast for next week, but the good thing about spring snow is that it doesn't last. With high temperatures in between snow, it melts quickly and goes away quickly. We can handle that!

Here we are on a walk last week with Dad.

Our sledding hill....no more snow!

Carter working hard on his bike. He's a pro now!

Interesting outfit.

Jack just sits in his stroller and enjoys being outside. He's done this since birth....loves the outdoors.

Keeping The Baby In Line

Every now and then I'll brave allowing Carter to keep an eye on Jack for 2 or 3 minutes while I run to do something in the house. Jack is getting FAST these days and it's not an easy task!

Just recently, I asked Carter to watch him and I came back to find Jack baracaded in and Carter looking as proud as ever of his creation. That's one way to keep him in line!

Progress!

I really can't believe it, but our flowers are growing! I don't think Carter and I have ever successfully planted seeds and seen them grow, so we're thrilled!

We did have one catastrophe a couple of weeks ago. In one of his crazy sprints through the house, Batman flew into the kitchen, lept up on the window sill and brought our potted plants down with him. It was tragic! However, we scooped everything up, found new pots and replanted them. They're still growing as you can see!

Birthday Party

On Sunday, we attended Noah (7) and Emily's (1) birthday party at Belinda's house. It was chaotic, as their house was full, but lots of fun! We are so blessed to have them out here....Belinda, Debbie, Linda and family....what an easy transition this has been with such warm people to help make Colorado home for us. I think we'd be lost without them!
