Valentine's Night

We spent Valentine's evening inside being warm with the snow falling outside! It was a great night.

Here is Blake grilling in the snow!

And, here he is trying to fix Jack's wild hair.

"Leave it alone, Daddy!"

Dinner!

February 14

Happy Valentine's Day from our precious boys. Carter assured me this year I was his Valentine again...along with Dad, Jack and Batman...and Chadley and Haylee from school.....and Sam and Halle and Haylee from Texas....and Caroline. No complaints here. I'm just thrilled to still be on the list!

A few pictures from our many attempts to take a Valentine photo...

Valentine Fun

As most of you know, we LOVE holidays here at the Starnes house! A few photos from our Valentine projects...

Here is Carter working hard on his cookies for friends, neighbors and teachers.

And, trying the final product.

Signing Valentines.

Castle Rock Skatepark

After mass on Sunday, I took Carter to the Castle Rock Skatepark for a picnic and skating. We're taking full advantage of opportunities to get outside these days.

Although it seems as this point that 1/2 the year we will be covered in snow, Castle Rock boasts 300 days of sunshine a year. I do think that's true from what we've seen....it may be cold some days, but the sun is out!

We were hoping the park would be melted in some parts, but no luck there. Carter found places to skate, anyway.

He sees tricks like this on TV and wants so badly to do the same.

Such a cute boy.

This is one thing I love about Carter. He got this skateboard for his 3rd birthday from Caroline and she gave him Finding Nemo stickers to put on it. He still uses it and has no problem with the stickers....although they're probably not as tough as the other boys'.

Valentine Treat

Caroline sent Carter a package including this super-gross life like gummy heart for Valentine's Day. He, of course, loved it and played with it like any 6 year old boy would.
