Our Littlest Bunny

Since Mardi Gras (an officially recognized and celebrated holiday in this family) has come and gone...Easter is fair game.

We are big on holidays around here....which means, anyone I can hold down long enough to dress as such will look the part.

Here is Lainey in her new bunny shirt from one of my favorite childrens' stores, BabyStyle. A store just arrived in our mall and so we're thrilled about that!

Keep It In Perspective

From one of the blogs I read...this post was linked from another. It's a great, short insight into the reality of the blogging world and how comparing ourselves, via blog posts, can often lead to feeling inferior.

I can really relate to this. I read other blogs - different from mine - those written more for entertainment and earning an income, rather than just sharing photos and a funny story here and there. Regardless, I see these other women cooking better, cleaning quicker, chasing toddlers more effectively than me. This article reminds the reader that a blog only shows the surface layer of a person's life. Yes, some are entirely more daring and raw than others, but the truth is that we often don't know what happens behind the scenes.

Makes me feel better about the job I'm doing here. And, that maybe I'm not the only mom who washed a high chair top to bottom last night because her 21 month old pooped all over it.

Or, at least I'm the only one who didn't write about it.

Old Photos

Blake gave me a great idea yesterday by sending me an email filled with old favorite photos. He had become nostalgic looking at his Canon software when I was attempting to upload the same system on my laptop since our desktop upstairs is on the blink.

So, I have decided to post photos occassionally of us in our younger years....kids, adults, etc. Enjoy!

Here is Carter at his 3rd birthday party at Primrose Preschool. We love this one because it shows 100%, pure happiness. The class is singing to him and he's about to burst with excitement.

The Babies Get A New Ride

Our new stroller arrived yesterday. We put it together this evening and tried it out. It's pretty cool so far.

We'll keep the babies as they are in the "tandem" style double because we're in no rush to take Lainey out of her carrier and the travel system we have now. But, this is for future use and I found it on sale. I have heard advantages to both versions - the tandem and side-by-side. Time will tell which proves to be better for us!

"What's going on here, Mom?"

"You don't need this bow, Laine."

"Hiiiieeee!"

"Let's go, Mom!"

Superbowl Party

We went over to John's house to watch the Superbowl Sunday afternoon. They have 4 kids, Chris and Kendra have 1, and we have 3. Which basically means that we are greatly outnumbered and chaos ensued. Everyone had fun, though!

Had to lead off with this one....Jack giving John a high five.

Sweet Lainey in Taylor's papasan.

Amber helping Jack eat his goulash.

Jack saying his new "Hi!" greeting, which I hear about 300 times a day - anytime he wants me to pay attention to what he's doing.

Amber and Taylor.

Watching the game.

The kids - not watching the game - but instead playing video games.

Lainey in Taylor's bouncy seat.

Big brother coming to help.

Bella and Ryan entertaining us.

Nice.
