Proof

OK, I stand corrected. Read the previous post (and comments - anonymous one is from Blake) and then this one and you'll understand why we have a picture of Lainey and Jack's feet.

Wow. You know me well, Blake.

The State Fair

While in Dallas, Blake took the kids to The State Fair of Texas while I stayed with Caroline at the hospital. They had a really good time.

"Milk, Daddy?"

Ice cream time.

Very proud of Blake for remembering to put the paper identification bracelets on the kids like Carter is wearing in the picture below. It's hard enough to take them all somewhere, but standing at the entrance with a mecca of kid fun calling their names.....likely was a bit chaotic for Blake while filling out the bracelets. I saw Lainey's in the car when I met them later that day, so I know she had one, too. What about Jack, though? Don't see one in the picture above. Hmmm.....Blake?

My request for the day (besides for Blake to enjoy a corny dog for me) was to get a pic of the 3 kids in front of Big Tex. We do this every year. Here are 3 of the many attempts:

And, the obligatory motorcycle ride. Blake said that Jack loved it!

Fun house!

This is what happens when Mom doesn't go to the fair. Carter appears to be on one of the most dangerous rides possible. Not happy about that!

Another one.

Finally, here is a picture Carter took just for me. I'll let you guess why.

Lainey The Cheerleader

A few photos of Lainey from Carter's football game a few weeks ago. Already loves the cheerleaders. And, they love her, too!

Fall Favorites

#2 Candy Corn - I love the colors more than anything, but do indulge here and there, too. Not just for snacking.....I decorate with them, as well.

Fill jars or hurricane glasses with them and they'll hold a candle in place well. Such an inexpensive filler and cute, too!

And, an addendum for Carrie Darney:
Unwrap the package of candy corn before putting it in the jar. Using your hands, push the candle down into the candy. Use a lighter or match to light the candle. :)

Widespread Panic In Aspen

Several pics from our weekend trip to Aspen a couple of months ago to see Widespread Panic play at the jazz festival. Yep, just now posting them.

Such a pretty setting.

Almost as much fun as watching the band.....watching these guys below. Oh, to be fun and stupid and in college again.

Lovely Blake.

And, a lovely sunset.

The band.

The next day included a trip into town for shopping and lunch. Walked through this outdoor market. Bought a $60 dress for Lainey. I have no will power.

I think that is Ajax Mountain behind the fountain park. I never can remember in Aspen.

Lots of room to walk and the weather almost always seems perfect.

A tribute to Aspen history.

Lunch at Boogie's Diner.

These two little cars were so cool. First, notice the double ski rack and hard shell container for ski gear. This tiny vehicle will hold as much as our Suburban will for ski season. I bet they get better gas mileage, too.

Super cool.
