Working Full Time Is Hard

 

This week has been tough.

 

I'm exhausted.

Yearly Trip to Julian, CA

This is one of my favorite parts of Fall. 

And, it's one of the coolest parts of living in southern California. From just about anywhere you are, you can drive an hour and the weather will be drastically different. Julian is the cutest town ever, peaks at 4,000 feet altitude, boasts 4 "real" seasons a year and prides itself on apple orchards, delicious pies and kind people. I think they're successful with all of these.

I'd actually love to go sans-children one time to shop and eat and even enjoy a glass of wine.  Such a lovely area!

I wasn't trying to stall you.  Promise.  We were just working out the details of my offer and start date.

 

So........

 

Mama's going back to work!

 

I started my job search a few weeks ago.  Interviewed and considered both White House Black Market and Pottery Barn.  I was leaning towards WHBM and received their offer first, so I took it!

I am part of the management team for a store in Orange County.  I am planning on working 5 days a week with 2 days off during the "school week" so that I can keep up with my mommy duties - carpool, volunteering in Lainey's class, etc.

 

I am keeping my job with Just Hatched Photography, since I do that from home with just a few yearly events in the studio. 

 

And, Mom's Little Secret is still full force ahead......especially with the holidays arriving soon.

 

One more......I'm teaching CCD for our church on Sunday mornings.  For non-Catholics:  this is our version of Sunday School. 

 

Will I be busy?  I think so.  Totally ready! 

 

I've been home for nearly 7 years with kids.  It's time.

 

Pa's in town this weekend and we're going to celebrate.

Finn McMissle in Costume - You're Welcome

It's not her most flattering look. 

And, this is definitely not the best angle for photography, but she was a bit uncooperative with the whole photo shoot itself.

 Kittehs can be such divas.

This is a hand-me-down from Batman (RIP).  Finn should be proud to wear it.  We're working on her gratitude.

And, her bad attitude.  I know cats are notorious for snobbery, but even this is a bit much.

Halloween is in 21 days and then we dress you up as a turkey and Santa. 

Such fun ahead!  Get on board, kitty cat.  You're part of this family.  Best to just smile and pretend like this is all normal.
