From One Beach to Another

Lots and lots of pics to come from our last couple of days in Destin.

Seaside.

Crab hunting at night.

Shopping.

For now, we've moved on from this fun group........

To our good friends (Ryan and Cortney + kids) from Keller, TX.  Neighbors from across the street of the first house we bought.  They're staying in Santa Rosa, so we're crashing with them for a few days after extending our trip.

Back soon with lots and lots of pictures!

Destin, Day 6

Britney, Lindi and I started our day with a trip to Alvin's Island.  It is the tourist shops of all tourist shops.  A little overwhelming.

We bought a few souvenir shirts and some treats for the kids.

These flip flops were brought for the girls.  Anything princessy works for them.

Beach time!  We've had rain on and off all week, but it hasn't stopped us.

These two together are just too much.

Love this picture of Britney and Maci.

We had some excellent waves yesterday.  Carter was missing his surf board.

Destin isn't known for surfing.......but yesterday would have been good.

The set up.

Trysten and Carter worked on skim boarding.  No easy feat.

The original Starnes clan.  The rest of us just married into this wacky group.

A future surfer?

Lara has been determined to make friends with Jack - no easy task - but she succeeded!

He adores her.

Here they are having snowball sand fights.

There are no words on Kellen's cuteness.  It's just too much.

Sunset.  We made it all day.

Finally, kids were in bed.  Isn't that a pretty picture?

An empty pool with no one screaming.

4 peeps played dominoes and the rest of us watched.

Pa was in rare form.

Everyone was, come to think of it.  Mark busted out a full 5 minute rap by Slick Rick.

There was dancing.

And, lots of love.  By far the most fun night thus far.

OK, Pa.  Not sure what is going on with this.

A little background on this next event.

Mark is terrified of clowns.

So, Lara and Britney snuck in, painted their faces and snuck up on the group.

They kind of looked like clown hookers.  Not sure if there is market for that, but they might be in business.

Get a room, you two!

Pa sung.  Some great beach music and also our wedding song.  Still brings me to tears.

So glad I married this guy.

It's a perfect sunny day for the beach and then we're on a sunset cruise this evening.

Life is good, peeps.

Hope yall are having a good week.  Can't wait to catch up!

Destin, Days 3, 4 and 5

The house.  It's darling.

Well done, Brad, Britney and Blake locating it.

We have a pool in the courtyard that leads back to the 2 story guest house.  Awesome accommodating for everyone.

The girls went out to lunch one day.  Lindi allowed Maci and Laine put make up on her.  She's a good sport.

There have been several rounds of shots on this trip.  Something with Gatorade in it.  I didn't even know such existed.

The girls.

Beach babies.

And, jelly fish like I've never seen before.

Hundreds.

Cutie Lara and punkin pie Kellen.

Jack, of course, found another family to hang with.  And, a mega sand castle to work on.

Only Jack could be a grump on the beach.

Professional pictures were taken last night.

Kellen had the most darling monogrammed romper.  I want to steal him.

Such good friends.

Headed back to house and 1/4 mile down the street to dinner.

"Florida seafood with Louisiana flavor."

Yes, please.

My punks post-pictures and pre-dinner.  Just one decent pic?

Not in the cards.

Had a great time at dinner.

Food was good, lots of yummy drinks and the kids were fairly well behaved.

Off to shop a bit today and then we're working on some plans for a Sunset Cruise, Crab Island, Sea Side, etc.  So much to do.

Back soon, peeps!
