Fright Fest, Take 2

The first visit this year included an early close due to rainy and cold weather. So, this past Saturday, I took my 3 + Carter's friends, Collin and Caden. It was quite an event!

Scary guys....

Trick-or-treating.

Still hard to see my 3 all together on one ride. They're getting so big!

Swings!

Spray on tattoos. They say it will come off in a week. I'm expecting to see it until Christmas, considering the strategic bathing Carter will be doing in order to preserve it.

Time for a game. Sweet Jack tried so hard to keep up with the big boys.

Carter and Caden on the Thunder Bolt.

Lainey's chubbo cheeks are taking on yet another dimension.

Later in the evening.....I had lost control at this point....look at all that candy!

Inside the "ball party", as we call it.

This mad house.....the "ball party".....pure chaos.

Toddlers are magically drawn to these vacuum type machines that take a foam ball from their hands. Jack will feed balls into it over and over again.

Lainey, too. Maybe some sort of assembly line work is in their future?

The 4 boys riding together.

We stayed from about 2:00pm - 9:00pm and had a great time.

Pa comes in tomorrow for a visit and I'll give you one guess as to where we'll be.

Fright Fest

Lots of fun on Sunday at Elitch Gardens with Sandra, Frank and Jack. Our day was cut short due to the weather, so we'll be back this weekend!

Standard picture we take every year.

Carter, Frank, Jack, Lainey and Jack.

We stopped for a snack and learned that Lainey likes honey mustard!

Luckily, every bit of it came out of her precious dress.

For Caroline.....the headless chicken. We saw these last year and were totally creeped out by them.

Carter, Sandra and Frank on the Tower of Doom.

Bundled up Lainey.

And, later on dancing in the arcade.

Cheater!

The nightly parade....totally disturbing and weird. Elitch Gardens is a weird place.

Look, Caroline! We found it this year. This is a display we ran into the first year we were here and thought it was totally creepy they would advertise such. It's about the Packer family in Colorado. Google it if you want to know more. The part of Fright Fest that we loved most is the historical side....and they do a good job of telling local stories.....though, they're all spooky to follow the theme.

Just before leaving, we stopped for a bit at the front of the park to watch the Fear Factor-like competition of eating cockroaches.

Lots of crazies volunteering!

Elitch Gardens

The people at Elitch's certainly lose money each time they sell a family like us season passes. We're averaging a once-a-week visit by this time each year. Lovely weather, Halloween theme fun, nighttime arriving sooner.....all makes for a good night.

I haven't been posting a ton of pictures from here lately because it's starting to look like the same old thing. However, this past trip was filled with a few interesting details.

Lainey is starting to ride more and more each time we go.

And, our middle child braved the kiddie roller coaster for the first time!!!!! Here is Carter with him giving a kiss for good luck.

He's getting so big.

Not sure what is coming next.

There goes our little guy!

And, here is our big guy.

Daddy wrangling Jack.

This new ride has been the big anticipation all year long. Turns out to be a knock-off of the Buzz Lightyear ride at Disney. Cute, but no where close to as cool.

While the boys rode the new ride, I kept the babies busy. Lollipops help.

And, this ride, circa 1988, somehow made it into the park. I'm sure the Texas State Fair is missing it this year.

Finally, we ended the evening with an impromptu breakdancing routine on the main stage. Not one ounce of shy in this family.

Jack gets things started.

And, then Carter and Blake join in. Yes, that is a 33 year old man, father of 3, getting down. Have I mentioned they sell beer at Elitch's?

The boys LOVED it!

Life As We Know It

This picture pretty much sums up the tone of an outing with our family. Good thing I've got a cutie of a husband along for the ride.

3 Kids In A Boat

First ride with all 3 munchkins in together. And, everyone made it out alive.

Ringing the bell is fun! And, eventually annoying!

Sweet Carter loving on Lainey.

And, Carter on the swings....
