Giveaway Winner, A Breakdown Waiting to Happen (Unrelated to the Giveaway Winner) and Just Some Random Stuff

First, the Toms book Giveaway Winner.

It's Wiz at Fine Wine and Diapers

Email me your address and I'll send you the book!  It's good.  I'm loving it.

On to the random stuff.

Finn McMissle is just about the cutest thing ever.  She's already running the house.  My kind of girl.

While at the SPCA, Caroline and I spotted the Facebook cat.

You know.  This one.

I almost adopted him just so I could say that I knew him.

Allison and I took the kids to the San Diego Botanic Gardens recently and I have all sorts of cute pictures to share.  But, Blogger is being about as agreeable as my children right now, so I don't have the patience.

Here's one.

Live it up.

I'm thinking that in May of 2012, I'll get around the posting the rest.

Other random stuff:

*I have received at least a dozen cards so far and mine haven't even shipped to me.  Seriously.  Total meltdown approaching because that's going to be a long night.......stamping......writing (don't get me started on labels - too complicated), etc.  I could cry just thinking about it.

*That doesn't sound like the Christmas spirit.

*I've bought many gifts, but haven't wrapped many.  Our tree looks like Christmas already came and went due to Caroline's visit, so I'm thinking of just hauling out all of the crap I bought and handing it over to the kids.  It might be all I can handle at this point.

*Have I mentioned that I'm overwhelmed?  Between my job at the photography studio and Mom's Little Secrets......oh, and this whole 'stay at home mom' gig........I'm feeling a tad temperamental these days.

*I've started resenting Blake more and more for not allowing me to name Lainey, "Magnolia".  No, there is no rhyme or reason as to why this is upsetting me now, but I've become rather furious about it at times.

Magnolia Caroline.

Why?  Sugar Magnolia by the Grateful Dead.  Duh.  And, it's the town my father was raised in and a place I spent many a summer and holiday.

*So, I'm thinking I should just have another baby to relieve this resentment.

*Blake does not concur with such plan.

PS - I love the name Lainey.  I promise.

Off to Photoshop, where I eat, breathe and sleep these days.

Awwww, I'm sorry you're stressed! I feel similarly: crazy end-of-semester madness at the high school, ending a teaching quarter at the prison, trying to get cards and presents together, anticipating my trip to GA for the holidays, ahhhh! Good thing you have cute kids with cute names: all of 'em. ;)

p.s. get a dog and name it Magnolia?

I think you need to come to NE, play in the snow and then everything will be ok or take a deep breath everything will work out. Take care my friend!

Ooooh.... I love the name Magnolia. Lainey too. I'm all about another Starnes baby. Seriously. Tell Blake to get on board with this or else.

Also... Finn. Adorable.

3rd. I think 3rd. This wasn't really a list until now. I feel your labeling/stamping meltdown. Our cards just arrived yesterday... but I'm still writing damn thank yous from the wedding and the baby shower so my hand is cramped beyond all things holy and I feel super stressed and I don't know why because they're just cards. So much Xmas cheer around our place.

Magnolia is the street that Bobby lived on when we dates in high school. I vote for another baby and name her Magnolia!

Lovin' that kitty, so cute! Lainey fits Lainey perfectly, I do not see her as Magnolia. Maybe get another cat (or fish?) and name it Magnolia! I loved the name Hannah, but Hannah Hines sounded like a porn star name, so we named our dog Hannah instead of our child! :)

I've never "read" this side of you before. I like it. You're finally not pretending like your life is perfect and your husband is Baby Jesus. Good girl. Now let's see more of it.

Um, seriously, quit complaining. <--I can say that because I was just told TODAY to quit complaining so if I have to, EVERYONE has to, ok?

Magnolia makes me think of Steel Magnolias which is a movie that makes me cry every time. I think she's perfect as a Lainey.

And lastly, should I rub it in that my Christmas cards went out on Monday? Nah. Probably not considering your vulnerable state.

Today, I went to the beach front with my children.
I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old
daughter and said "You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear." She put the shell to her ear and screamed.
There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear.
She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is completely off topic but I had to tell someone!
