A Whole Lotta Nothing......Kind Of

Yall.  I've been totally MIA.  Been at my friend Holly's house, nursing her back to health after surgery.  She's doing well and things are looking up!

Got a few random pics for you.  Lots more to come.

Sprinkles La Jolla......been open for one year......we randomly visited on their 1 year anniversary.

Guess who was there?

Candace Nelson.  Sprinkles guru and all around dessert extraordinaire.

This created quite a stir.  I didn't get a picture of her.  But, she's in there.

Such a dainty flower.  Emily Post would be proud.

I referenced Emily Post recently and someone didn't know who I was talking about.

Impulsive Addict?  Was that you?

Jack and Lainey attended an Angry Bird party recently.  I won't show you all the pictures because I plan on copying the entire party for Jack in April.

Aint no shame in my game.

My sweet friend, Katherine, from LSU sent the fam a King Cake recently.

King Cake is an old Mardi Gras tradition.  It's a delicious old tradition.

I never cared for it until just recently, when every calorie counted.  Why did I not eat more of it in college when I was getting all that exercise, walking to and from the bars?

Jack loves King Cake most.  He got the baby for the 2nd year in a row.

What is the baby, you ask?

Want to know my latest fantastic purchase?

Got this cardboard playhouse for $10 from Walgreens.  The kids have painted and colored and adapted it to their own.  We moved it outside and it's been a total hit.

Regular $35.  Love it!

Moving out of the Davidge house Tuesday morning.

Back to our crazy life.

Not that life here isn't crazy.

Off to the harbor soon to look for sting rays, sea lions and other sea life.  Then, down to the beach for some photos of the kids for Mike, deployed to Afghanistan.  Hope he loves them.

I'm also planning several visits for friends here and then a couple of trips, too.  Britney and fam are coming in for Spring Break.  We're going to have a blast!

Yall up to anything exciting?  Back soon!

One of my kids got one of those cardboard houses for a b'day present one year and it was AWESOME!!! We moved it to our screened in patio b/c it took up the whole dining room. Cardboard + FL humidity + FL rain don't mix well. It eventually was tossed. I think a hurricane finally took it down. Or we moved. Can't remember.

You are such an awesome friend helping out with the DAvidge's while Mike is deployed.
If only other American families did the same.
Seriously, kudos to you!
I'm guessing Katherine E. sent you the cake?
We're hosting a Super Bowl party this weekend and I'm ordering one from NOLA to serve on Sunday.
Woot!
Love that you called IA out. HA!HAHA! 10 DAYS until I'm hitting the slopes in PC!

You rock Casey! Can't wait to see the pics of Holly and Mike's kids. Seriously someone didn't know who Emily post was?

Yes, it was me, Dee!
Casey was very kind and hosted "Flat Caroline" last school year and me, being the procrastinator that I am, just now sent her a Thank you!
Glad that you all enjoyed it and even more excited that I got a shout out in the blog!

I just got a King Cake from Publix. It was delicious except: they put the baby in a bag, outside the cake. Rookies.

Casey, you didn't eat King Cake in college because we couldn't afford it. We had to save our money for high quality beers.

I leave for San Diego on Sunday the 5th! I'll keep you updated on my days off. Hope you can squeeze a visit with me in :).

I still can't believe you've been wrangling 7 kids for the last week+..... SAINT. You are.

I keep meaning to check my Walgreens for that little house. So cute! And a great coloring/painting project.

I love that your exercise in college was walking to and from the bars... hahahahahaha. Sounds like my exercise routine in law school ;)

I got sent a king cake once for winning a blog giveaway from someone in New Orleans... it was so yummy and I got the baby. Hooray!

You are a good friend. I wish I had a friend like you.

I think I need some sprinkles.

I have often considered that cardboard playhouse.

I want a king cake.
