Scoop

Ever seen two kids more miserable to do arts & crafts?

Lainey was being a little toot.  Jack was complacent.

Love that kid.

Better, Laine.

I've been more creatively lately with Lainey's hair.

Two examples:

I think this one is fabulous.

I'm Valentine crazy this year.  Not sure why.

And, Lainey is still Finn crazy.  She's getting to be a total fatty.

Finn.  Not Laine.

Our house is a big pile of love lately.  Valentiney fun.

I'd like to introduce our bike riding super star, Jack Starnes.

We're the worst parents ever.

With Carter, we set up cones, blocked off streets, had him padded up from head to toe - elbows, knees, head, etc........we were flagging people down to tell them to get out of the way.......couldn't make it happen......my parents were finally successful in teaching him.

With Jack?

Heard Carter scream, "Mom and Dad, get out here!  Jack is riding with no training wheels!"

He taught himself.

Poor middle child.

Off to basketball.  2nd to last game.  Then, we start Tball with Jackie.

Jack with an aluminum bat and encouragement to swing it freely?
This has success written all over it.

Way to go Jack!!! Christopher won't even entertain the idea. He will be 6 next month. My sister (youngest of 4) taught herself like Jack. I think my parents taught the oldest and the rest of us learned from an older sibling. My mom didn't know my sister could even ride a bike. The neighbor told her. She was 3. She was a quite the pistol back then. Sophie is just like her. Only reason I am some what sane around her. I grew up with someone just like her. Our best friends' son won't try to ride his bike either. I told them we should take them to a parking lot and tell them they can't leave until they figure it out. Although I think if we tell them to race to see who finished first it might work. It did when it came to do homework this week. Our friends didn't know the race was even going and when Christopher finished he told me, "Done! Now text Melissa and tell her I beat Nicholas!" She just wrote back and said, "Is that a new parenting tactic? Thanks." Am I rambling again? Oh well.

Love your V-Day decorations! Love is in the air here too! I am getting ready to dust off the "heart" shaped fondue pot!

So impressed with your braiding skills. So cute!

Way to go, Jack!

LOOOOOVE Lainey's hair! Both pics were adorable! And even what little I could see of her holding the cat! CUTE. Now if Emma's hair would ever grow.....

Poor middle child. Bad, bad parents. To offset this, you need a 4th.

Good luck!

And good job Jack! Paisley just turned 6 and still doesn't like her bike.

Love all of your Valentine's Day decorations. I need to hurry up and get mine out. Might add it to my "To Do" list for tomorrow.

Colt has that same Grateful Dead shirt and I laughed out loud over you clearing up that the cat was fat, not Lainey.

That is one super frown.

Way to go Jack! I am super impressed.

I need hair lessons. I tried a ridiculous French braid this weekend on Missy Mack. It was sad by the end of the day.

Lainey's hair is cute! I have a board of similar hair-dos on pinterest. No luck yet.

I love valentines day too!
