Wednesday Scoop

Finn is falling nicely into place of Batman.  She'll never BE Batman (RIP)......but she's starting to succumb to the pressures of Rylee and Lainey.

I wonder if other animals sometimes wish to be back at home at the SPCA upon being placed in homes?

Look how proud these two are:

Well played, Finn.  You might as well just go along with it and try to find some peace.

Lainey's recital is about 120 days away and I've already started praying she doesn't do something stupid on stage.

See?  This is what we're working with.

Told them to pose.  Here it is.

This Thursday is parent-observation.........ie, bring your video camera and tape this routine so that your little darling doesn't ruin the show.

Noted.  Must figure out how to use my video camera now.

We recovered our ottoman recently.  It was super easy!

The old version. Bought this piece upon moving to Denver, in 2006.

I'm over earth tones and gold and the like.  Been slowly transitioning to more color and this is one of the last pieces to do.

Finn McMissile was super helpful.

Isn't it fabulous?

Blake thinks we need a new rug, but I kind of like the mis-match.

Either way, I'm thrilled.

What in hybrid hell is this?

Kids' predictions:

Deer
Coyote
Wild Dog
Alien

Blake said it's a hyena.  This was obviously mid-day, in the heart of our neighborhood.

A bit concerning.

And, last........our Adirondack chairs had babies.

It doesn't take much to please me, folks.

Visitor #1 of 6 over the next 6 weeks arrives today.

Casa de Starnes is open for business!

What in hybrid hell made me LOL! Love your new baby chairs. Our feaux leather ottoman has a tear in it. Never thought of just covering the whole thing with a fun fabric! Thanks for the idea!

I think we need to give those daughters of ours a couple name. You know, like Brangelina. We'll call them Rylainey from now on. Those two are nuts. And I love that Rylee is pulling a face while they're doing their froggy stretch...typical.

I think the animal is a javelina coyote mix - I should know since I live I the desert! Ottoman looks fab but I agree with Blake, time for a new rug - you know me and my type A OCD!

PLEASE learn how to use your video camera. I am dying to see Lainey in all her glory dancing away.

And Finn hiding under the stuffed animals? Smart kitty.

Also. LOVE LOVE LOVE the ottoman. Fabulous.

So sorry!

I'm LOL at Jodee. I can't use my blackberry one bit. I mute almost every call and have to hang up on the person to unmute them.

LUV the new ottoman.

What the WHAT is a javelina coyote mix?????????

You have been busy! Love the ottoman...good job. Fin is very relaxed for a female cat! I have almost always had males because they are less weird. Maybe those two are the cat whisperer or maybe they have a future in breaking cats...who knows.

Good job on the ottoman!
I'm with Blake.. it's a hyena.
And, as far as the chairs? Love! We have a couple like that at the lake for the kiddos.

You're hilarious! Love the babies! And I think the boots go perfectly with the dance costume. :)

I think you need Hyena pepper spray--seriously.
