Elitch Gardens

Saturday brought pretty weather and a chance for us to go to Elitch Gardens. It's a theme park located near downtown Denver and is a quick 20 minute drive from our house.

I braved the first 1/2 of the day alone with the boys and then Blake joined us around 3:00. It was a lot of fun.

Several pictures from our day....

In the Main Street area.

Jack covered in sunscreen, which makes his hair pretty wild.

Carter, on one of the kid roller coasters, which I had to practically force him onto because I knew he'd love it.....only to watch him get back on several times after this first ride.

This is Jack's favorite part....the ball party. Carter is upstairs shooting foam balls at people.

And, off he goes....

Carter on the far left.

Carter's in this one, too.....second row from the back.

After standing on the bridge to get soaked.

We tried the water park for a while, but it was TOO cold for Jack and me.

Never too cold for Carter.

Back to the ball party.

Blake was there at this time and the boys loved playing with him. Mom is not nearly as fun!

Back to the roller coaster...

I like this one.....click on the picture for a close up view of Carter LOVING this ride.

Time for ice cream.

Blake and Carter on the water raft ride. Blake didn't want to get too wet.

Too bad....he was a good sport, though.

And, again....back to the ball party. We go there often to keep Jack happy, as he's not too fond of sitting in the stroller for 11 straight hours.

A train ride for Jack....Carter seems thrilled with it.

Time for a big one.

And, finally, the night arrives and it's time to go home. We'll be back!

I can't believe you stayed there ALL day. You are such a trooper. I would have passed out after the first 2 hours! I wish I had your energy!
