Last week of school! Soon we'll have a 1st, 2nd and 7th grader.
Thursday included Track and Field Day at Carter's school.
He was part of the Radioactive Rebels, named after the popular Imagine Dragons song. I think. I don't really know.
They did well in a couple of the athletic events and then also scored 1st place for the spirit portion....which included this mad scientist and some sort of explosion mid-field during their performance. Middle Schoolers are a lot of fun. Blake and I were both able to attend this day....at different times....Carter was thrilled to have the audience.
We met up with Cindy and her family from ye old blogging world on Saturday. They were staying downtown at one of our San Diego favorites, the Grand Manchester Hotel. Cindy was in town from Arizona to run the Rock n Roll 1/2 Marathon. She's awesome.
Her two girls fit right in with the Starnes bunch.
Here are Lainey and Sophia.
We brought doodle and sticker books for the girls to play with in their hotel rooms as a thank-you for letting us crash the pool party. They promptly took them out and colored poolside.
Within an hour, Jack was hitching a ride from Lacey.
And the parents were up to no good.
Some First Aid was administered.
And, we enjoyed the gorgeous views of the bay. We stayed here years ago.....when living in San Diego was just a dream for us. So happy to be here now!
After a long day at the pool and a kid-free cocktail on the 40th floor for the adults, we walked to the village for ice cream and carbs.
All 5 punks together.
Such a fun visit! Donatellis, come back soon!!!!!!
Busy this week with book returns at the middle school......baking and preparing end-of-the-year gifts for teachers and office staff.
A visit to Disneyland awaits us.......and some summer kick off treats for the kids.
2.5 more days!
