It was bad. Not the entire day, but the beginning.
There was a tantrum. And, not of the normal variety. Upon saddling up and entering Main Street, Lainey lost her little 3 year old mind and threw a fit worthy of a complete stranger (or 12) videoing it with her phone.
And, while I would not like to re-live those 10 minutes of my life, I would like to know who cried first.
Lainey or me.
It was bad, yall. I refused to allow LC to use Jack's stroller seat for her kitties, and, all hell broke loose. For the record, I'm typically quite tolerant of her feline nurturing side. I load up the 'burb 20 minutes early so she can secure all of her kitties......put them in seat belts....cover them and pass out snacks as needed......etc, etc. But, I will not condone her shunning Jack in order to keep up this routine.
How dare I, right?
I dared. Caroline stood there with her head spinning wondering what on earth she could do to help and then once she noticed the woman RECORDING my nightmare, she stepped in front to block the footage. My sister has my back. I finally managed to buckle Lainey down and stormed through the crowds and out of sight eventually.
We know how to make an entrance, no?
And, all because of this precious, darling girl. Hard to believe.
Moving on.
We tried out a "new" ride......new to us......Peter Pan. Super cool. Carter and Caroline anxiously awaiting.....
We cruised around the park for a good portion of the day and then found the Rand family. Alisha doesn't know it, but I took this picture on the Toon Town Coaster.
So great seeing them and in such a fun venue!
Jack and Haylee....
Caroline ran into her principal at the park, who informed us of her students......all the way from Texas......performing at Disneyland that day. Small world.
Snapped a quick picture.
Lainey has a new BFF. Grace. They are so cute together.
Kiddos. Such a motley crew.
Ran into Mary Poppins and Bert. Upon signing the book, Mary was searching for "Carter" who signed the princess book several times before her. She wanted to have a word with him.
LC led our group. In more ways than one.
Caroline sat down with the kids for dinner and then treated them to Mickey shaped beignets in our favorite restaurant, The French Market.
An attempt at a group pic.......the Starnes fam + the Rand fam. Jack slid out of the picture just in time. Turkey.
Haunted Mansion! Caroline and the punks acting scared.....
My sweet Carolines.
Bryan braved the tea cups with the kids.
Haylee and Laine.
Buzz Lightyear!
Saw Mickey on the way out.
The tram ride back to the car. There's Lainey, still taking care of her kitties. Such a good mama.
We're exhausted today. Just a few things on the agenda - with kids in school - and then dinner tonight with Alisha and family. Loving Spring Break!

Nice job Caroline - love how she has your back. Oh my word - it is going to be an interesting day when the Donatelli's, Lenzers and Starnes all hit Disneyland. They're not gonna know what him them!
My mom still talks about the mega-tantrum my sister had at North Park mall when she was 2. I think every kiddo has that moment! I think the kitties need their own stroller! ;)
Love all the pictures!
Wow! I can only imagine the video! Mary Poppins is my favorite of all time!
LC is getting too stinking cute!!!
Holy cow! I can't imagine how I would have handled the meltdown but I'm very sure you did better then I would. I would have been tanning some hide. I'm glad she cheered up and you had a lovely time. It is totally a small world!!!
Fun times. I will think twice now before giving parents of screaming children evil looks.
I just don't believe that sweet little Lainey could throw a tantrum.....must have been some sort of mix-up. How fun to spend the day with the Rand crew...tell them "hello" for me!
It looks like you had loads of fun after the meltdown! Cute pictures!
P.S. Cory's passport was mailed by priority mail today. I wonder if the post office can screw up our trip any more!
Lainey, Lainey, Lainey. Just tell your momma that all this frustration now means that boys (and anyone else for that matter) will not be pushing you around or taking advantage of you when you are older. I'm afraid that if you and Sophie ever met that there just might be a Mean Girls 3 going on live. But you girls aren't mean, just stubborn. And hard headed. And know EXACTLY what you want. I say keep it up, just tone the volume down. Sophie still ignores me when I say that to her, so I don't know why I think you will listen. Tell your sweet mommy that I'd mail her some alcohol, but I don't think they will let me.
I cannot believe that someone would take a video of Lainey having a meltdown. Why? Looks like you had a great day!
Meltdown aside it looks like you had a great outing. I still can't get over the video taping but good for you for standing your ground.
Awesome Laniey! Can't wait to see if that makes it to You Tube. But wait, has this woman never seen a child melt down? WTH?? Isn't that a common occurrence in a place like Disney? Go Caroline for stepping in!
Looks like another magical time for your sweet family! Your sister looks great! Glad she is doing so much better!
Such a fun day! Loved see you all at Disney and dinner was so wonderful! Can't wait to see those pics!
I still haven't downloaded any pics from our trip yet but hope to soon!
