I have some bad news, peeps.
Yall know that my blog is typically upbeat and positive......(unless, of course, when I'm making fun of my kids)......but I just can't fake it right now.
Batman has been missing for 8 days. He escaped from the house and hasn't returned.
Yes, he's been out many times before. He always comes back.
We've hung 50+ signs throughout the neighborhood.
I've been combing Craigslist looking for 'found black cats'.
I've posted my own ads begging people to look for him.
We've been to the San Diego Humane Society, created a profile for him and have visited in hopes that they found a match.
Nothing. I don't feel good about this and have been a total wreck on the inside, worrying about him.
Coco's visit was perfectly timed, as she created a nice distraction from all of this anxiety. But, now we're back to reality and without our Batsy Boy.
Please pray for him. Even if he's not returned to us, I hope he's happy somewhere.
Batman is certainly one-of-a-kind.

Oh no!!! That's terrible. I hope he's okay wherever he is. Bad time of year to lose a black cat. Praying he comes home.
Oh no! I'm so sorry. I hope that Batman comes back!
Oh no!! So sorry to hear this. I will pray for his safe return!
Oh Casey! I'm so sad...he looks just like one of our cats...Noel. I have to say that I did lose a cat once when I was in 5th grade. He was gone for 2 weeks and I cried, wailed and gnashed my teeth. My entire family was miserable. I found out through a friend he had taken up residence a few blocks from our house and actually at my classmates home. They were happy to return him except the baby sister not so much. Five years ago another cat went missing. I took out ads and went door to door and never found her. Sydney especially grieved losing her and still does. That was 5 years ago. I saw her...I know it was her about 5 blocks away. I will never know if someone picked her up, she got lost or just didn't like us anymore. But I know that was our cat. I also knew that after 5 years she wouldn't know us and so I never told Sydney. Will be praying for Batman!
Oh wow, Casey. I am really sorry! I hope that he comes back. That is so sad!!! :(
aw I'm so sorry Casey :( but cats are smart (well, most of the time....ask Kristen about her "special" cats), and I'm sure that he's conned a family into taking care of him. hoping he finds his way back to you guys!
Trysten wanted to me to share that he really hopes you guys find him. We are sorry he's gone missing :(
So sorry. I had a black cat growing up who disappeared for a good two plus weeks but we found him so there is hope for Batman! Will be thinking about you!
Batman is a great cat. And he seems very smart. Maybe he just needed a break from the craziness. I hope he comes back soon. I don't know HOW you've been getting through this. I would die if Lucy-C went missing. Lots of prayers for y'all.
I am soooo sorry to hear that Batman is missing. He is the coolest cat on the block. Hoping and praying he returns soon. Hang in there!

So sorry, Casey! I hope Batman finds his way back home soon! Xoxo
This makes me so sad for you, the kids and Batman! I really hope he comes back.
O no I feel you pain!
My cat did the vanishing act for 3 months recently and then just came home again on night as if he'd been there all along.
I hope Batman comes home soon!
Poor Batman! Praying he's just on a luxury vacation away from the punks :) I sure hope that's the case!!
OMG! Have they found him? I would be devastated!!
Love the CoCo blog posts.
And now I know... :(
My heart breaks for you guys. I get the cat is like another child in the family thing. I will say lots of prayers he comes home soon.
I am once again waaaaaay behind on blog reading, so just now reading the sad news that Batman is gone. I am so sorry to hear it, but don't want you to give up hope! One of my cats went missing for 6 days twice and then for 3 weeks another time. And this, also, was a cat that never ventured outside much and always came back if she did. So I am going to cross my fingers and toes that Batman slinks his way back home very soon! Hang in there!!
