When Pinterest Goes Wrong

I made a fool of myself in insert anywhere here on a daily basis Walmart two days ago.

It was bad.

I honestly haven't even been on Pinterest in over a week, but was inspired to do the following after an initial look a while back.

Over the door storage for things other than shoes.

Like school supplies and crafts.

Isn't this brilliant?

If you live in 1,000 square feet or less, as we do, you will appreciate this.  Every square inch of space counts.  Every one.

So, I was super excited to buy my shoe rack and then fill with lots of supplies majorly marked down after 'back to school' came to an end.

I was obviously excited enough to share this with 3 random people, hardly interested in what I had to say.  I found myself lurking around the clearance section, just waiting to attack someone with this little storage trick.

"Oh, right.  $.10 glue sticks.  Great deal!  Know what I'm doing with them?  I bought this over-the-door shoe rack and I'm filling it with all sorts of supplies.  Then my kids will know where to get what they need when they need it.  No more searching through the garage for colored pencils!  I love this idea!  Don't you?"

"Wow, that's smart.  See ya!"

***************people scattering*************

I even told the lady who checked out our groceries.

I don't know if she had kids.  Or a need for supplies.  Or any desire to hear what I had to say.

On top of all of this.....in Walmart of all places (no judgment, I shop there, too)......how many people do you think frequent Pinterest?  Or even knew what the hell I was talking about?

I need to be stopped.  Caged up somewhere.  Otherwise, my picture is going to be up in the break room soon enough.

If you live in the San Diego area, get to know my face well.

And, run like hell if you see me coming.

OH STOP IT! I would have LOVED taking this little piece of advice from you...had you been anybody other than you because sometimes your snarky and mean to me and stuff and I'm a sensitive affectionate caring person who can't take your sarcasm every.single.day.

1,000 square feet? With 3 kids? Oy. But I know how expensive it is out there. We probably couldn't afford 1/2 of that.

You need to save that gem of info for the Target crowd.

I'm scared of Pinterest. I know it will take over. And I would have tagged along on your shopping trip if you'd walked up to me and told me what you were doing. Then I probably would have followed you home to see how you did it. And then you would have been freaked out b/c the stranger you were trying to help make smarter has now become your new stalker. Hehehehehe......

Oh my word! I am cracking up because I LIVE at Wal-Mart and I do the same exact thing!

This is such a brilliant idea -- whoever thought of it! I put one in our master bathroom a couple of years ago and it holds all of our toiletries! I couldn't live without it now!
