Eat. Live. Be. + Small Scoop

This week's topic: "What's your favorite healthy change?"

I think I'm enjoying the stretching more than anything. Walking has always been my favorite form of exercise, but yoga has made me feel good and hurt in ways I haven't in years! I do mean that in a good way.

***Weight loss: perhaps 3 pounds, but it's likely due to the bug I acquired from the kids. I'll quote Emily Blunt from The Devil Wears Prada......"I'm just one stomach flu away from my ideal weight." Love that.
***Exercise: yoga, yoga, yoga

Scoop:

*My life is about to change again. Carpooling, peeps! I'm teaming up with a neighbor for Carter's school run and then a friend for Preschool. So, rather than my usual 4 drives each day, I'll cut back to 2 and have even more time to myself. Note to self: Stock up on champagne and bon bons.

*I'm reading The Hunger Games series and enjoying it. On book 2. Carter is reading the first. Love sharing books with my son.

*My Kindle is acting up. The screen freezes often and then it doesn't hold my last page after I re-boot. Anyone have one and have you encountered this issue?

*I just learned that our town, Oceanside, has the #7 best climate in the United States. Not too shabby.

*Sass and Merrilee are coming for lunch tomorrow. There will be wine. Can't wait!

Off to straighten the casa de Starnes for our guests. Blake is en route to Los Angeles with Carter to pick up a desk for his new office. He is finally moving in his own space and out of his car/my desk at home. This is good for everyone.

Back soon!

I love so many of these things: yoga, books, wine, champagne, and bon bons! I can imagine that it's really sweet sharing books with your son. I've read the first Hunger Games book (we read it in the teacher-student book club at school) and I LOVED it, though the busy school year (and several other books on my list) have prevented me from reading the other two. Summer can't come fast enough!

I've just come across this Eat.Live.Be. thing. How does it work? Do you just post on your blog and then facebook?
Anyway, yoga is wonderful, I love it too. Have you tried pilates? It's my fav!

I love that quote and sadly often think that it is true. Hope you are feeling better. 3 pounds is 3 pounds take and keep up with the yoga. Sounds as if you are loving it.

I love that carpooling cuts down on the number of trips to and from school. I hate all of the interruptions in one day. You will get so much more time to yourself.

Carpooling sounds scary. My new favorite healthy snack, plain Greek yogurt mixed with fiesta ranch packet and fresh veggies dipped. Yum! Fun for visitors.

Yoga has been a new favorite of mine as well, every Monday nite at the Y! I also have enjoyed drinking green tea morning and night. I won the challenge at work I've lost 14 1/2. I want to lose another 15 1/2 so I am staying on the wagon.

Good luck with carpooling!

I haven't had that issue with my Kindle. Hope it's a fluke and gets the kinks worked out. Did you check Amazon for any problem fixes?

I'm a little jealous of your #7 best weather...however, I'm kinda enjoying this blizzard warning we're under. I'm not even saying that with sarcasm. I'm hoping for enough snow to keep me snowed in for a couple days.

How are all of the Starnes' kids feeling? Hope everyone is better.

P.S. I'm glad you're liking the HGs! :)
