Scoop

Lots of scoop.

Father's Day.  We're not big on gifts for any holidays, really.......and certainly not Mother's Day or Father's Day.....but I couldn't resist making this shirt for Blake.

The front:

The back:

A few inside jokes in the text.....and I am always fascinated with people who wear pictures of their kids on their clothes......so it all fit smoothly into my plan.  However, he hasn't worn it yet.

Hmmm.....

Decorated the mantle.  I am all about the printouts, peeps.  Subway art and this cute Father's Day banner.

Little punks made these at school.

Preschool Graduation.  It was an event.

Mrs. Rebecca.

Mrs. Jenny.

Their graduation day include all sorts of fun.  Face painting turned into arm painting.

And, Jack became a pterodactyl.  Or, a pteranadon.  I don't know.  But, he could tell you.

Jack finally received one of this birthday wishes we failed at......and got to vacuum the whole house.  What have I been doing with my time?  I'm totally delegating this now.

And, next on my list to buy is some pjs that fit him.  I think these are 3T.  Don't judge.  They're just short....not tight!

Beach picnics look like this when Carter and I shop for food.  Sushi, marinated olives, roast beef for Blake, etc.

Freak show:

Our favorite dance....."the swimmy".

We are Legoland addicts these days.  Life guards know the kids' names.  Can't decide if that's a good or bad thing.

Daredevil punkins, Jack and Lainey:

Each time we go to the water park, we leave a bit early to catch a ride or two.

Found a train in the "willage", as Jack calls it.

This part is so over-the-top cute.

See how everything is JUST LIKE REAL LEGOS?  I used to plant those little flowers next to my Lego houses when I was a kid.

Jack finally got brave enough to ride the Coaster-saurus.

Always a funny sight at Legoland.  Mini-vans EVERYWHERE.

I'm getting used to the sand.  It's just part of the deal.

Really, Laine?

I know Jack always gets the "eccentric" label, but Laine is fast approaching his kookiness.

Carter is out sea kayaking and camping on the beach this week.

A week ago, he stayed with friends from KC on Coronado.  They came out to dinner one night and we all had a great time.

After everyone left, Blake and I hung out for a bit. And, we had a visitor.

This tree is right by our kitchen patio.  They're not scared!

My most recent favorite swim suit.  Old school, 50's style with a lay over skirt.  Our little Gidget.

Caroline just ordered this shirt for Jack.  Have you ever seen anything so awesome?  Blake wants one, too.  Of course, we can't tell Jack was it says.  Or, he won't wear it.

I'm sure you all have heard by now about my love, Ryan Dunn, dying last night.  Seriously sad.  He was a funny, funny guy.  I might not strike you as a typical Jackass fan, but I have seen all their movies and think they're hilarious.  My heart breaks for those guys right now......they are a tight bunch of friends.....living the dream life......doing pranks and stunts, making a ton of money and having fun.

My favorite Ryan Dunn line.....while shooting his crappy house on MTV's Cribs......they highlighted some heinous part of his life and everyone was grossed out by it.  His response:

"Ladies, line up."

Awesome.

Agenda for this week:

*Dana Point day trip.

*Home-made water colors and playdough making with the punks.  I'll post the recipes soon.

*First Official Day of Summer is tomorrow.  And, it's Free National Park Entry Day.  Link here.  Don't miss it!  Not sure where we're going, but I hope to take advantage.

*Naps.  I've been fighting a cold since LAST Sunday.  Toughed through Disneyland and Del Mar and took a break this weekend with Blake home after being out all week.  Hoping to get some more rest.

*Vegas planning.  We leave Sunday!

Speaking of Vegas.....I came across this little gem while reading my fave, DListed.com.  What in tacky out-of-proportion tangerine nightmare hell happened to Heidi?

That's really beside the point, actually.  She's at Wet Republic, which is one of the pools at the MGM, where we're staying.

I told Blake about this and he said, "Yeah, you dorks aren't going to be hanging out at Wet Republic."

Like he is.

One more.

I saw this on a shirt in Puerto Rico years ago and have never forgotten it.  Love.

Later, peeps!

Your busy life always astounds me. Maybe I'm just a tad lazy. I loved the line up of mini vans. Lainey's swimsuits are sooooo darling. I always get so sad whenever I hear of someone dying young. It's a tragedy!

So much going on in this post. Racoon would have freaked me out!! YIKES!
Love when friends visit. Good times.
Heidi is a freakshow. She claims to have lost 27 pounds in two months to get in shape for that show at Wet Republic.
Jack helping clean the house = awesome!

LOVE the dorky shirt for Blake.... hahahaha. I never got people who wore those for real either. But to each their own.
And loving Lainey's red floppy hat. That girl dresses better than I do!

Love Lainey's new swimsuit and the t-shirt for Jack is awesome!

As far as the Jackass guy goes...I feel bad that he died, but he made a horrible decision to drink and drive and took another person's life with him...maybe someone will learn from his mistake!

Boy, I am tired just reading. Our life is super boring compared to yours. Legoland looks super fun. I just love Lainey's swim wear. I need that rosy suit. I also love the shirt you got for Blake. Very funny. Take a pic if he ever wears it. Caroline is a great shirt scout.

Okay, where to begin? Is that a hologram pushing the stoller? I'm SO sad about Ryan Dunn. He was HAWT and my type. And, I would have shot that Racoon with a BB gun. Point blank. Your summer Rocks so far!

Google subway art, Kel. Or, look on Etsy. Hard to explain. Lots of words.

Not a hologram.....she is a lego figure......looks kind of weird in that picture, though.
