We're having a great time outside right now discovering our new home town and enjoying the weather.
Look who else wants to climb trees!
On a long walk yesterday, we discovered this awesome trail through the woods in our neighborhood.
It felt like a discovery from our childhoods 25 years ago when kids played in creeks, skipped rocks and got dirty.
The children loved it and could have stayed much later. Blake took them back after dinner to play some more.
Feels like summer.
It won't be long! And, we'll be back to find more trails and skip more rocks.

This is EXACTLY what children should be doing - good old fashioned fun! Love these pics of your little angels.
Seriously, that is too cool. I loved exploring the creeks and trials, and most importantly mom knew we were just fine... SO not like that today here!
Totally agree! And, we'd be gone all day......around water all the time.....no where near our parents. It was a different world!
Tons of fun, what a great way to explore!
okay that's cool! glad you are having fun in KC

It looks so pretty and green there!
Where did you get those Thomas boots?!?! Sam would freak!!!! His two obsessions are boots and trains...they are a must have! Also, I LOVE your new header! Vacation is my all time favorite movie :)
I'm going to move into your neighborhood.
AWESOME pics girl! What a beautiful place! That is heaven for little ones. How fun!
Amber.....the boots are from Nordstrom. They're Western Chiefs and he LOVES them!
That looks like so much fun!!! The days when entertainment didn't revolve around computers and TVs. :) Thanks for sharing...and enjoy all of your future exploring.
The good old days! It is so hard to find places like that now, and if you do, chances are there are kids there doing things they shouldn't be doing if you know what I mean. It's really sad. Glad you guys are exploring you new surroundings!
wow! that looks like a TON of fun!!!
Beautiful pics! Love the trail and creek! You all are going to have so much fun!
Case,
WHAT are you going to do when Jack outgrows those boots? Do you have a back up plan?
