Catch Up - Giveaway Winner, Trip Recap Plans, Etc

We're back in Kansas, folks! It feels good. 15 days is a long time for little ones to be on their best behavior and you know our kids always are. So, now we're home and they can let loose a little bit. Maybe have a teensy temper tantrum here or there.

Because nothing like that happened while on vacation and certainly not as we boarded the last plane today hysterically after our first one was delayed and we already had only 30 minutes of a layover pre-delay. Running through Denver International with 3 kids, 6 carry ons, 2 car seats and a double stroller was as smooth as silk. No stares. And, as we gracefully drug 2 crying children, who were just woken from their sweet slumber during the first flight, onto the overbooked plane.....with Carter zoned out to his Ipod......asking people to kindly move seats because we were spread all over the place......as Blake hooked in 2 giant car seats.......while I consoled each child......we were certainly not a spectacle or nuisance to the passengers. And, no one gave us dirty looks.

Moving on......

Giveaway winner: Jann from "The Lenzers"
****Jann, email me your new address. I'll hook you up with the dental peeps and you can get those naked children of yours brushing away!

Lots going on here in the Starnes casa as we re-work back into the routine. School registration, Jack's big preschool start, Building Better Moms, job searching and more.

I'll continue my trip recap as I can - and in order - because that's how I roll. I'm planning on printing my work to use as our scrapbook for this trip since I would rather not sit down with pen, paper and all those weird scrap booking supplies that intimidate me. So, da blog will have to do.

I'll be introducing a cousin of mine, as well, and his business coming together. He does lovely work. You won't want to miss it.

And, we're starting a new route via job search......which I'm not yet ready to share.....but will in time. Blake has been interviewing like mad and has gotten a few offers, but has respectfully declined them. More to come on that.

"The Help" is due at the end of July for our book club. I hope you all are enjoying it as much as I did. Let's discuss sometime next week. You still have time if you haven't started. It's a fabulous read you won't want to put down! Promise.

The kids and I crashed at 8pm this evening......which is 6pm Cali time......so you know we're exhausted. And, you know I'll be talking like this for weeks....."Blake, it's actually 3pm in California, so....." Daylight savings and travel really throw me off.

On that note......I've been asleep for 4 hours and am up briefly and am now back to bed. Because it's 10pm Cali time. Night!

Oh golly, I always feel sorry for those families when they are on my plane and Mr. Mack and I have split ourselves up so parents can sit with their kids. I am sorry that happened to you. I am sure it wasn't a spectator sport at all. Glad your home and anxious to hear about all your job plans.

"No stares." Haha, missed you Case! Glad you're home!
Can't wait to hear about this list of teases!
I'm officially obsessed with the Help, and I may need to buy you a new copy. I Sassed it up, and you may not want it anymore. And my momma wants to borrow, too! I'll call you.

Welcome Home!! Glad y'all had a fantabulous trip.

Yesterday's travel day sounds awesome. I can't even imagine.... and Denver airport is a WHIP. I've missed 3 flights out of that darn airport b/c of the stupid tram. Three kids in tow and 5000 pieces of luggage?? I'd be toast.

Welcome home!!! You may need a vacation from the vacation to catch up on sleep and to get back into a routine. Glad you had a great vacation!

Yay!! You're back. Let's get together soon. Maybe a GNO to go see "Eat. Pray. love." And I am so sorry about the plane ride home. sounds awful. I am almost finished with "The Help." It is my life. I grew up in that world. And they are casting for he movie right now in Oxford, Mississippi. I am so close to driving Bennett down there to audition for Mae Mobley. I am not above doing that at all. Just call me Dina Lohan.

Welcome back! I would have loved to be at DIA yesterday during the Starnes Spectacle! Love it - I know how you feel (minus one kid). Glad you made it back in one piece. I can't wait to hear all the news ... don't keep us in suspense for too long!

Don't you just love all the stares.....as if you are enjoying the whole process! Sad you are no longer in Cali, but glad you made it home safely. Get some rest, my friend......we will be anxiously waiting to hear about job developments.

Welcome back! The travel home is always harder than the travel there with children. They're tired, you're tired. Makes for a long day especially when connecting flights.

Can't wait to hear more about your plans!

Yay you're back. Can't wait till you share whatever you're not ready to share yet! Also, I am still reading "Eat, Love, Pray" and I really hated India. So happy to be in Bali! Party time! I will hopefully have "The Help" ready by next week...I hope it is a faster read than ELP. Welcome Home!!
