Question Of The Week - Updated
Peeps, I'm tired. For some reason, 2 weeks of vacation did just fine for me and now 4.5 hours of work wiped me out. Then, I made 3 stops buying groceries because my family members seem to think that eating is a priority.
Anyway, I have a really quick Question of the Week for you.
***How do you know which side of your car the gas tank is on?
If you know, tell me. If you don't and figure it out from someone else, let me know you if just learned it. Or, already knew. This is an experiment in stupidity because Blake and I didn't know.....but Pa filled us in while in California.
OK, go!
Click here to read the specifics. I love how the author says, "Have you ever drove up to a gas station in a new/rental/borrowed/stolen car....." Awesome.
Pa told us about this and he just learned, too......after traveling more than half his life and renting a gazillion cars over the years. I felt better knowing that! He's been walking around the car, too, looking. :)

There is an arrow on your gas gauge pointing in the direction of the side of car it's on.
mine has always been on the driver's side. I remember back in the 80's though when cars had them in the back.
It has something to do with where the gas tank symbol is on your dashboard. If I were in my car now I would be able to tell you details.
I very recently learned of the arrow on the dash... until then, I would stick my head out the window if I were in an unfamiliar car.
However, here is how I really remember---
7 years ago, I was driving our new Explorer. As I pulled up to the gas station (Waterway by your house), my OB called to tell me that my test results came back fine and we were finally ok to start trying for a baby. So, I stood at the gas pump and cried as I filled up the car. I remember being on the College Blvd side of my car (luckily, so the guys working wouldn't see me crying). So, whenever I would get to a gas pump and forget which side it was on, I would remember that scene and it reminded me. And now that I have the mini-van instead of the Explorer, I remember that scene and know it's on the opposite side! It is a really long road to a super simple small house, but that is how my crazy brain works!!!
I guess if I had known about the arrow years ago, I wouldn't have had to go through the sentimental replay over and over...
I'm eliminating myself since I answered this for you last night.
Dummies.
I had no idea there was an indicator. I've driven several rental cars this year and always had to get out and check before getting gas. Now I know.

Like others said the little arrow in the dashboard next to the gas guage. How could y'all not know this. You are losing some serious credibility with me Casey!
The arrow, of course. Duh. What the hell car in the 80's had it on the back? And why was Dee pumping gas in the 80's?
What the hell? I had no idea and still don't. I thought it was just happened to be where the car company happened to put it. Randomly I gues.
I just went out to my car and there is no arrow.
I have never heard of the arrow before. Must check today.
Darin just told me about this a few months ago. It is the arrow on the gas gauge, although his last car did not have this. Hope you get some rest, mama!
Didn't know this. Gonna look today. Oh, and homeboy needs to work on his grammar. "Have you ever drove?" ~ "Have you ever driven?"
Sorry, it's the English teacher in me.
Am I right about this? Second guessing myself right now.
I agree, Caroline......thought the same thing. The dude's also talking about stolen cars. I forgive him for the grammar error.
there is usually an arrow that points, i don't what year they started it. i still can't find my arrow
So did no one click the link? Idiots.
I did go to the link- and I had NO idea.
But I'm young, so I'm exempt.
If you don't have an arrow next to your gas pump picture, then... (let's see if I can explain this without confusing anyone) it is the side that has the hose hanging from gas pump (on your gage). So, if the gas pump hose is on the right side, then your tank is on the right side. Try that Coco...
I've known this one for years. There is an arrow pointing to the side it's on on the gas guage. Although, I've mostly had foreign cars and this is not always the rule with them. I have a Volvo now and there is no arrow.
I learned something new! I will always rember that. Now I will look tomorrow to see if the arrow points to the passenger side.
