Rock Climbing Carter

One last trip to Dick's Sporting Goods and we're almost ready to ski next weekend. Several resorts are opened or are about to open...Breckenridge opens on the 10th and Keystone is already up and running. We can't wait!

While we were there, Carter climbed the huge wall. This kid has no fear....unless, of course, you put him in front of a child size roller coaster at Disneyland and then he is horrified. Figure that one out.

Getting ready.

Climbing the wall.

Close up of the little climber.

Repelling down.

Regarding Carter's fear of roller coasters and lack of fear when it comes to rock climbing (and skateboarding)...

A few years ago, I went to Six Flags with my sister's boyfriend at the time. He was quite an accomplished skater. This guy would grind rails and put his body in considerable jeopardy. Anyway...he was afraid of roller coasters! We chalked it up to a lack of control.

When skating or rock climbing, one has total control over the situation...not with a roller coaster.

Love your family blog, BTW!
