Red Rocks Amphitheatre

After the Dinosaur Ridge, the boys and I drove up to the Red Rocks Amphitheatre. It is as amazing as you have heard....some call it spiritual and sacred....others, the best opera house in the world. In one word, it's breathtaking.

Blake and I both spent the greater part of our early twenties traveling to see bands....some in a nearby city...and then others states away. We each love music as much as the other and our tastes are nearly the exact same, which actually helped bring us together. Our first real date was at the New Orleans Jazz Festival in 1999!

So, I was anxious to visit and see what all the fuss is about. The boys were accomodating and even acted interested at times! That's a lot for those two!

From the highway.

Sign outside.

The walk into the visitor's center.

Main view. Can't wait to see a band play here!

And, to the right.

Hall of fame.

Some of our favorites.... Allman Brothers.

The Grateful Dead.

Best ever....Widespread Panic.
