A Small Gesture - You Have Time, I Promise

This blogging world is a strange one. I started with Dee's blog last night.....then made it to another.....and another....and then finally to While We're Waiting. I don't often browse like this, but it was a slow night at the Casa de Starnes. Found this post and was immediately struck by it. Please read it and then take a couple of minutes to mail this 5 year old boy a Christmas card. He is in the late stages of Neuroblastoma cancer, the very same as what Tuesday had.

They are celebrating Christmas next week and his wish is to receive lots of Christmas cards. His address:

Noah Biorkman
1141 Fountian View Circle
South Lyon, Mi 48178

I checked with KS, the author of While We're Waiting, and she said it was fine to spread the word. So, please share this with others or re-post the information.

I didn't have a card on hand, so I took a blank white one, my kids' crayons and drew a tree. Inside, I wrote, "Merry Christmas from Kansas!" Simple and sweet.

How cool would it be for this child to receive cards from all over the world?

****ps - yes, I checked Snopes.com, as the world we live in is certainly unpredictable. It's a true story. Confirm here.

I had heard about this little boy earlier in the week and I have my card all ready to go. However, I was struggling with what to write since this is his last Christmas. Merry Christmas from Nebraska works for me! Thanks for the words!

Hope you have a great weekend!
