Tree Lighting And Visions of Ho Ho

Dee, you better just skip on past this post because I know how loyal you are to Thanksgiving. Promise we are, too.....we love the turkey (and dressing and potatoes and gravy), but our town's tree lighting was Friday night. So, I dressed the kids up in some of their Christmas gear and off we went!

Another Mae Mae dress.....my favorite so far!

Tickles from big brother. These two are really cute together.

Lainey with her new treasured accessory......a bouquet of flowers. No, I have no idea how she comes up with this stuff.

Perfect crisp weather, but not too cold. They lit the tree.....there were carolers......Santa.....and lights everywhere.

Silly boys....

Wonder how fast the town tree can be brought down with these 3 so close by?

The first visions of Santa for the year. It was magical. Jack was excited. Lainey was cautious. Carter chattered about him to feed their curiosity.

And, look at how fine my man is in his glasses. So cute!

"Der's Ho Ho!!!!!", Lainey screamed. Screamed! It's a wonder they still let us in some events. Maybe it's good we move around a lot.

Busy, busy week ahead......

Jack and Lainey go to the dentist in the morning (Lord, give me strength).

Haircuts for the kids.

Cookies at school for Carter's classroom.

Family movie night out on Carter's birthday.

Building Better Moms.

Widespread Panic in a funky old theater downtown. (Sass is sitting for the kiddos!)

Carter goes to the dentist.

9 year old well check.

My 35th birthday on Saturday.

Oh, and Thanksgiving is next week.

Tis the season!

Mae Mae is my FIL's girlfriend.....which sounds so silly to say b/c they've been together for a long time. Much more than a "girlfriend".

She buys them on Etsy.....started last year at Lainey's 1st birthday and then Halloween....she's now a pro at finding cute ones.....all on www.etsy.com. If you want info on a specific one, email me and I'll look into it for you!

What a fun outing! The kids looked sooo cute decked out in their Christmas clothes!

I missed the reference to Mae Mae too. I wonder if this is just a knot dress on Etsy. It is absolutely adorable! I love the fabric!

Enjoy your busy week! How will you possibly have time to blog?!

Did it feel weird seeing Santa before the turkey has been eaten? Ryan "convinced" me not to put up and Christmas decor yet...actually he begged me!

By the way, your 2 little ones must think Carter is the coolest thing ever!

No......not really that weird since we have 2 radio stations already playing Christmas music round the clock and most retail is decked out, too.

I actually prefer to wait on the decorations and such until after Thanksgiving, but we couldn't pass up the tree lighting. KC has a plethora of holiday events.....and in order to space them all out....some have to go early. Fine with me!

Oh my goodness your kids are soooooo darn cute! I LOVE the dress - so girly! Look like you had a good time!

On the Christmas decorations... When we arrived here in Calgary the first weekend in October, people were putting up their Christmas lights on the houses! Last weekend it seems everyone plugged them in. Yesterday at the mall, Ashlyn and I saw Santa. I told her he has a lot of places to visit so he started early in Canada! She likes him from afar!

yes, it's a little stressful to me to see your kiddos decked out in Christmas clothing. I am SO not there right now. I love the little curls by the way... she is so cute.. and so are the boys, but being surrounded by boys, I tend to get ga-ga over little girls! Thanks for commenting on my blog... I have never made the fried rice, so I'll let you know how it turns out. And, I've been trying to figure out how you have done the really cool fonts in your headers on your blog. If you don't mind, please share! Have a great week... remember to breathe, it sounds pretty crazy!

I was raised to always give to to Turkey Day I guess that's why I'm big into it. I generally put my tree up either Thanksgiving day or that weekened though.
The Christmas music on the radio drives me nutz though..ughh..
