I have found my new mantra in life. Found it here. I'd like a 4 ft x 6 ft rendition of this for above our mantle. Isn't it lovely?
Finally took a shot of my hair when it's curly. I had to do it myself b/c Blake sees no advantage to decent angles or lighting. I don't like this shot, but it will have to do.
I feel like I look a lot like this most of the time.
Or, this. Plain and simple: I have too much hair. But, I'm working on it.
Pa's visit was a ton of fun, as always. We tried to book a harbor cruise, but were too late. Hopefully soon. We ventured down to the cute shops and restaurants along the water, anyway.
Love this picture. Look how tall Carter is!
Everyone agreed this would be Jack's boat one day. Hmmm....
I love when we can see our kids in each other. This is a Carter look:
And, true to herself, Lainey:
The fam.....wait. What is Lainey doing?
Let's take a closer look at that. Nice. Modeling agencies, line up!
Grabbed some ice cream after dinner and headed to the beach.
We wrote Pa's name in the sand.
And, played some football.
I love our lives here in California. (Sass, those are your Lainy's boots!)
Lainey found a crab and showed it to Pa. She has quite an imagination.
Speaking of, Lainey's sleeping habits are less than desirable these days. I don't believe in children "dropping their naps". I feel like that's our choice and not theirs. But, Lainey turned 3, we moved to San Diego and suddenly she has no interest in sleep. Went in recently to find this:
"Don't wordy, Mom! Der LEESES for da kitties!" Oh, yes. This makes it much better.
Artichokes cost $1 here. Yum.
And, wax lips are cheap, too! Look at our little vampires.
That's a wrap, folks! We're headed to walk the surf shops this afternoon in downtown Oceanside and then will watch the sunset on the beach. Life is good.
