Finally took a shot of my hair when it's curly. I had to do it myself b/c Blake sees no advantage to decent angles or lighting. I don't like this shot, but it will have to do.
I feel like I look a lot like this most of the time.
Or, this. Plain and simple: I have too much hair. But, I'm working on it.
Pa's visit was a ton of fun, as always. We tried to book a harbor cruise, but were too late. Hopefully soon. We ventured down to the cute shops and restaurants along the water, anyway.

Grabbed some ice cream after dinner and headed to the beach.
We wrote Pa's name in the sand.

I love our lives here in California. (Sass, those are your Lainy's boots!)
Lainey found a crab and showed it to Pa. She has quite an imagination.
Speaking of, Lainey's sleeping habits are less than desirable these days. I don't believe in children "dropping their naps". I feel like that's our choice and not theirs. But, Lainey turned 3, we moved to San Diego and suddenly she has no interest in sleep. Went in recently to find this:
"Don't wordy, Mom! Der LEESES for da kitties!" Oh, yes. This makes it much better.

That's a wrap, folks! We're headed to walk the surf shops this afternoon in downtown Oceanside and then will watch the sunset on the beach. Life is good.

if i hadn't blown my nose earlier, snot would have shot out when i saw that close up of lainey! love that girl!!!! have i told you lately that i love your family b/c you make me feel like mine is normal? i think that if you can find at least one other family that acts like yours then you are considered normal. if you can't, well, your outta luck! i just wish that we had as many cool places to go hang out as you do. nothing here. abbbbsooolluuuutely nothing.

Laine - so precious! I've always thought she and Carter looked so much alike. Now that she's Big Girl Laine, it's even stronger fo sho.
We do the same thing with artichokes here. The boys LOVE it.

I was laughing so hard at this post from your comparisons of your hair to the Lainey's fingers up her nose and so damn proud of it that Brian pushed me out of the way and started to read. We both had a good chickle .. thanks we needed that at that moment too!!
