A Final Day of Skiing

Blake and Carter went into the mountains yesterday to ski at Arapahoe Basin. Because of the direction this resort faces, they can stay open until June for skiing. Most of the other resorts have closed or are about to. Realistically, you can ski in Colorado from November-June.....that leaves only 4 months without skiing. Crazy!

Saturday morning before leaving.

Carter rode the kid lift on his own for the first time. Good thing I was not there! I would have said "No!"

Our first ski season in Colorado has been a ton of fun. For a while there, we felt like we were living on vacation! Carter is an amazing skiier with skills that exceed his mom's (which really isn't saying all that much, actually). I think we're about done for the year, but we'll be looking forward to the fall! Our favorite resort has to be Beaver Creek.....so family friendly and even more beautiful than most areas....with a darling ski village, above-the-ordinary service, etc.

We will likely try a few new ones next season like Copper Mountain and Winterpark. We really jumped right in this year with going to the big ones......Vail, Beaver Creek, Breckenridge, Keystone and A Basin. With 2 babies next season, we'll likely slow down a bit and visit some other areas.
