Fireworks

The 4th of July brought us pretty weather to sit outside after dinner at a new place in downtown Brighton. We went to Friendship Park, just a few miles from our house to hear some music and wait for the big show. Unfortunately, the wind picked up and it started to rain, so we headed home to watch the fireworks.

Upon leaving, we encountered just about every man in town trying to become a kid again by hosting his own professional-quality fireworks show on his driveway. It felt like driving through a war zone. Fireworks are legal in Colorado, so they're EVERYWHERE. Upon waiting for the city's show at 9:00, we saw dozens of other displays going off around us.

The boys playing.

Patriotic Jack. He held onto that flag for quite a while.

Caroline with the boys. We have a tendancy to buy the tackiest things for Caroline to wear around holidays - because we know she'll do it - so she was decked out in every possible accessory for the 4th of July.

Lots of dancing going on that night......

Waiting at the car for a bit to see the show.

And, then home because of the weather.

Caroline and Carter checking out dad's fireworks.

Outside having fun
