Scoop

Un Birthday pictures coming soon.  First, some scoop.

Dinosaurs weighed in at Jack's well check appointment.  Jack asked the doctor if they could be weighed.......the scale wasn't working for the doctor....so he called a nurse in to change the batteries because the dinosaurs had to measured.  Cute.

It was a long appointment.  We kept busy while waiting.

Look at our big boy celebrating at school with cupcakes.  Little guy gets nervous with so many people looking at him and singing.  Me, too, Jackie.

Doug and Brody came to visit again.  Love, love, love this picture.

Party prep reminded me of the movie, Vacation.  "Can I help you with that, Vicki?  Please?" (as cousin Eddie's daughter stirs the koolaid with her hand rather than a spoon.

Blake and Doug sat like slugs for as much of the weekend possible......right in this spot.

Lainey learned some new dance moves.

We hit the beach on Sunday.  Starting to fill up.  May 1 brought out the crowds!

It's nearly summer, folks.

Little ones got new beach toys.

Jack got 2 kites for his birthday.

That is major fun, folks.

Carter surfed the day away.

I love this happy face.  He loved kite flying.

Little ones got tired.  Up late the night before at Jack's party.  They even slept until 7am!  Still sleepy.

Jack-a-roo napped for nearly 1.5 hours in the sand.

I snapped a few quick pictures of Lainey Bug and her many expressions.

She's such a dainty flower.

We left at dusk and cruised home for pizza.  Please note that the family truckster is even dorkier since the addition of the surf rack.

Awesome.

Lots going on this week, as usual.

*Mission Project for Carter.

*Work for me.

*Snail and weed removal.  Those suckers are killing my plants!

*De-sand the house.

*Night out for me.  Should I see Hanna or Prom?

*Hair cut.  Might be going blonde.  Stay tuned!

Been following your blog for awhile like a major creep. I live in cali too, so glad you made the move to the west coast and enjoy it. Consider a trip to central coast with the family, I went to school in san luis obispo and its awesome!! Your family would love avila and pismo beach. Anyway, I heard pouring beer on snails kills them? Try it!
Ps- love your blog! You have the cutest family!

Such a fun un-birthday weekend. I love the train painted on Jack's face. Very appropriate.

Once summer hits I like to go to the beach in the late afternoon when all the peeps leave. Talk about a crush. I hate crowded beaches.

So awesome the doc let Jack weigh his dinos!! I bet that made his trip!

Love all the beach pics! I would love to nap on the beach like Jack. That has got to be one of the best places to nap (minus the sand in the mouth)! Love Lainey's bathing suit! Her faces are too cute. Love seeing that side you show us of your kiddos!

envious of your beaching. Not of your sand infested house. If I lived near the beach I would have to invent a spray tan machine that covered me in sunscreen.

Blake and Dennis would get along marvelously! Love Jack - he even smiled for some pics! I hung up your postcard - it was too dang cute! I was probably the first to receive it since we live the next state over!! All that sand ... ugh! Go blonde ... can't wait to see the pics.

LOVE IT!!!! Lainey cracks me up. I want to come visit you when you are down here, but it's killing me that I don't know if that is going to happen or not. Dates are still up in the air. And I say go blonde. I'm thinking of coloring mine at some point. I highlighted it once or twice after I graduated college and just couldn't afford to keep it up. But even the hairdresser told me I was getting a lot of grays. Not sure what her angle was, but I will NOT be going back to her. She cut way too much off and now my hair looks crappy. Later!!

The pictures of Jack flying the kite make me happy....so glad he liked them. I also love the pictures of sweet Lainey on the beach. I noticed your surf rack is from Encinitas--way to represent! Can't wait to hear about your hair....it looks great any color, but blonde is very southern California.

My goodness, Laine is looking more and more like Carter every day.

And I want her hair.
