February in Colorado has been hard on me since moving here. I love, love, love cold weather and enjoy the snow and beauty of it all. But, once Christmas comes and goes....and January passes and the new toys are once again old....February hits and you realize that spring is still months away.
We typically are not safe from a freeze until after Mother's Day, so flowers and green grass have to wait. Now, good skiing weather is just around the corner, but for a few bleak weeks.....I'm in a funk.
And, when that funk hits, we take every opportunity to get outside and enjoy the sunshine and mild temps as often as they present themselves.
Hence, a zoo trip.
I'm not sure who enjoys it more.....them or me.
Jack caught a glimpse of the trains I stashed in the stroller storage compartment and it was as if the zoo shut down. All he could see was trains.
A stray peacock couldn't even grab his attention.
