Question

Anyone know of a good self tanner that won't leave you looking like a zebra?

Tan Towels...I love them! You can buy them at any of the beauty stores or online!

Jergens natural glow express! Not the lotion but the express - it gives you a tan in 3 days and no streaking. Just buff your ankles and wrists with a towel after applying.

I got a little too orange with the Jergens, but I'm very fair! I used the new Mary Kay one last summer and it was subtle, but did give enough of a glow!

Bring on summer! I couldn't be more ready!!!

I haven't tried any of these, but I have seen some sold as aerosol sprays. Seems like the application would be more even that way.

Neutragena has one especially for the face that I like. Clarins and Origins for the body are both good. I used to apply self tanner professionally at a Conde Naste top rated NC spa I worked at. I was the resident expert because I was so good at it. So, here is how I did it.

1) Always exfoliate first!

2) Always apply to clean, dry skin

3) Only use a small amount (less than a dime for the face and just enough to spread over other body parts), you can always reapply if it's not dark enough

4) Application, do not rub in like lotion, rather spread over the skin lightly and evenly. If you notice a concentration of tanning lotion that didnt absorb, you can spread it over the largest area you can cover with it, but never rub into one spot.

3) Keep a warm, moist washcloth at hand and use it to gently swipe over the eyebrows, hairline, lipline, dab at nostril creases, elbows, ankles, and around wrist bones when you finish.

4) Apply quickly, smoothly, and evenly and wash your hands with soap really well especially between fingers and around nails.

5) Never do your feet, just fade to a lighter application BEFORE you get to the ankles!

Hope this helps!
