Really? The Notebook? Hated that movie. I hate anything that blatantly manipulates my emotions. :-)

I love any of the Christopher Guest ensemble movies- Waiting for Guffman, Best in Show, A Mighty Wind, etc... Classics all.

Lauren, I like you more every day.

However, I will defend The Notebook. While I don't care for Nicholas Sparks now, I read this book years ago and LOVED it. Love the story. Love Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling. Holy cow....did you see the second video at the award show? Contrived.....yes....but I still love them.

Agreed about your loves.....Best In Show is one of my all time faves.

Same with the Coen brothers.

True. Love both actors. Did you see Lars and the Real Girl? I guess I didn't like The Notebook because I hate fake southern accents. :-) And emotional manipulation.

Love love love the Coen brothers. I think I have seen all of their films. It was because I was a drama major. We were supposed to watch arty films and pick them apart as pretentiously as possible.

i think i'm the only girl on the planet that didn't LOVE the notebook. i mean, i liked it but, that's about it.

This was the best study break ever. EVER.
That scene from Good Will Hunting... classic. And holy hotness... I watched that Best Kiss acceptance thing and turned all red and blushy. Good lord... those two should still be together. They're just too adorable together and I'm just sayin... if you can kiss like THAT- I think you're meant to be.
LOVE that we both picked the dance from 500 days of summer. I also love the scene in Bruce Almighty where he sees Grace is praying, and he is outside her window and she says how much she loves him... but how she just doesn't want to love him anymore. And then when he says his prayer in Heaven and asks God, no matter what, to make sure Grace is happy... I cry everytime. I could babble on and on because I have so many scenes that just melt my heart... what an awesome post Casey. You are just too amazing...
PS- Hope Caroline got the Panera gift card. Just sent a little "You Can Do It- Keep Kicking Butt" card in the mail to her. Hope it makes her smile that beautiful smile of hers.

I've only seen Good Will Hunting out of all those, probably because it's not a chick flick. I've physically had the Notebook and SATC on DVD in front of me and couldn't do it.

I think I love Lauren.

Oh, and your question: I never really quote movies or remember scenes afterward. I usually just remember my general thoughts about the movie. This is a huge issue since people LOVE to quote movies and make movie references. The only time I remember watching a scene is the "Baby it's cold outside" scene from Elf. Adorable.

Shannon - 500 Summers was much more than a chick flick. Try it.

500 summers is a yawn.

My favorite scene in a movie. Is that the question? Cameron Diaz in "My Best Friend's Wedding" when Julia Roberts tries to set her up by getting her to sing Karaoke and she's just adorable. Ha Ha Julia Roberts character; you hater! Love it.

Oh, when Charlotte poops her pants in Mexico in Sex in the City. I really can't get enough of any potty humor. My maturity level is around Jack's, I'm sure.

My favorite movie of all times? Casino! Sorry, I forgot. I love when Sharon Stone is acting out at the casino and she throws those chips everywhere. I just love that movie, I love the clothes, the hairstyles, cars. LOVE IT.

Swingers when they're in the diner and Vince V. gets on the table and yells 'my baby's all grows up!'..love that movie!

Oh yeah, I did see (500) Days of Summer since it was an indie flick and because I love Zooey.

I personally love chick flicks and loved the book and the movie for Notebook. I like Nicholas Sparks though ... I am sappy like that. Just saw Blindside this weekend and loved it - I love Sandra and of course Tim McGraw! Secret love movie - Varsity Blues - "I don't want your life". Oh and from Top Gun - "Take me to bed or lose me forever". Yeah I can't quote much from movies!
