Carter and I spent most of the morning making a delicious recipe called Peanut Butter Vegetable Chicken Soup. Don't let the name fool you. It's wonderful!
I got the recipe from a good friend of mine....my blogging and anything-computer-related mentor, Shannon. We met at Pier 1 a couple of years ago and became friends because we have a lot in common. She is a travel nerd like me....she is always looking for out-of-the-ordinary things to do with her kids.....she loves the best show on TV, The Office, as much as I do....etc. I mean, really, what else is there in life?

I just took a glance and became insanely jealous that she just went to the State Fair of Texas!!! This will be the first year in MANY that we do not attend. I love that Shannon drags her kids to the educational/unusual exhibits and not just to the Midway. The fair has so much to offer and most people just ride the rides!
