Left promptly at 6:00am and after only a few short stops, we arrived in Hot Springs, South Dakota. We've already been into town for lunch and to shop a bit....then onto a visit to The Mammoth Site, the world's largest mammoth research facility. It's an active paleontological dig site where ice age fossils are being unearthed.
The ride this morning went 100% better than we had anticipated. Very few whines and fusses and not one complete melt down. We're thrilled!
At the hotel now for some rest and then to dinner and a swim. Because, really, we could be anywhere in the world and no matter how fabulous the location, a pool will always supercede any other potential options for fun.
