Nothin' But The Best

Well, maybe "nothing but the die-hards" went skiing today. Typically, we wake at 5:00am to leave at 6:00am only to arrive close to 8:30am. We left today much later than usual and arrived in time for ample parking and a quick lift up for the first run. I think we saw 2 cars en route with skis on the roof. Most people are done with skiing at this point, but not us!

We had good snow at the top of the mountain, but the lower greens were rough and slushy. We enjoyed all of it, though, and also some great deals on discounted winter-wear including a Mother's Day gift for me that I would not have accepted otherwise.

So, we're done with the big 4 - Beaver Creek, Vail, Keystone and Breckenridge, as they're all closed for the season. Arapahoe Basin remains open until nearly June, so we'll give that a try in a few weeks. I've heard mixed opinions on this resort.....it's very rural and it does not hold the ammenitities that we're accustomed to, so we'll see. We're up for anything.

Blake is out this evening with the boys and I'm off to a party with the kids down the street. Good night and have a great Sunday!
