My daughter, Kamree, had that same pink octopus costume. It was one of my favorites. However, I did like her pumpkin costume from Gymboree last year too!

Cute pictures! I am definitely ready for Halloween!!

I was a HUGE Annie fan growing up and my Mom actually made the red dress for me one year, I had the wig, the shoes and everything. It was so exciting!
I also spent many years as Sandy from GREASE because I was and still obsessed with that movie.

That is such a cute costume!!

It's hard to pick my favorite, my Mom made our costumes every year. I think the one that stands out the most is Princess Jasmine. It was right after the movie came out. I wore a very light pink leotard (to look skin color) and my Mom made sheer flowy blue pants with elastic at the bottom to make them kind of bubbly. And she made a short vest with gold trim and a head band with the same sheer material for a veil. Oh scourse it was cold that year so I froze b/c I didn't want to put a coat over my costume.

You are going to laugh... My mom made my sister and I Debbie Gibson costumes. My sister wore the black and white stripped and polka dot outfit she used to wear in concerts with the black hat...of course. I did the whole Electric Youth thing with the jean shorts, black vest and black hat. So see my obsession with pop stars started young. I so want to be Hannah Montana this year!!

I love the pink octopus - so cute! My Mom always hand made our costumes for years and years and years - one year we were all three clowns - very nice costumes, I'll have to find a picture. My favorite kids have been the Old Navy baby/toddler costumes - LOVE those - we've done several, dog, monkey, frog, super cute and comfy! PS - I made the Chocolate Sheet Cake and it was SOOOO good!

My mom always made my costumes too .... whatever I would pick out. I think my favorite was a belly dancer. I also remember some cute picutes of me as Wonder Woman when I was even younger and like Froggity there were many many princess costumes. I don't even have a clue what the girls will be this year. Maybe Nana (my mom) can throw something together ... any good ideas?

I'll never forget being a blonde Snow White. My mom and her mom made the dress for my sister 2 years prior-she had the part in a play. I wore red lipstick and a red ribbon headband.
Sam was a dwarf that year. We have pictures of me kissing him on the head like Snow White did. Sam was also an Old Woman one year. A muumuu, pink lipstick, glasses, wig, cane-no one recognized him!
Can't wait for Halloween!!

I don't think I ever had a store-bought costume. My costumes were not really made either, they were more of find whatever you could around the house and make it into something at the last minute. For example, I was a policeman once which was wearing parts of my Dad's police uniform. I was a hobo several years which was wearing old clothes that were too big and smearing some brown smudges on my face.

I'm not sure if my parents didn't have the money or just didn't care about Halloween. I did win free french fries one time from McDonalds with one of my Hobo costumes at a Girl Scout party. Maybe the judges felt sorry for me.

I was a pink pig. My mom made it for me. It was precious :) It was basically a gigantic onesie that we stuffed with pillows. & of course I had a pig nose to go with it.
