Day 11 - Last Full Day In La Jolla

We spent it at the beach....soaking up every last minute of California life.

The walk to the beach was always entertaining.....The Shores is crowded, so we had a ways to go.....Carter suggested he was the "pack mule", taken along only for his aide in the situation. I don't know where he comes up with this stuff.

Oh, so cute.....our little surfer boy. He fits in well, no?

Time to build sand castles.....

Time to squash them. Way more fun.

Blake made a sand shark. Lainey petted it.

Love this expression...."What are you doing, Daddy? Get up!"

Lainey couldn't resist the "pack pack" and spent some of our beach visit sitting in it at the blanket.

Jack, too.

Huh? What? Why? No idea. We're raising a litter full of smarties over here.

Oops! Glad I had my camera nearby.

Showered, re-dressed in dry clothes....still time to play.

Heading to the beach house.

OK, so we have ski racks and now a cargo box.....looks like we need a surfboard rack, too.

Out to dinner at Old Town for some yummy Mexican food.....caught a gorgeous sunset on the drive there. Bye, bye, beach. See you next year!

Love the new look. Great pictures, and in the words of my husband, "You can NEVER have too much gear." Your car looks like you live in Washington, California, or Colorado!!!

That picture of Carter with the sweet grin on his face and the board over his head is so cute. Looks like a funny day at the beach, I'm jealous.
