We are adding a new favorite to the list.....apple picking at Alldredge Orchards. Located in Platte City, Missouri, it's about a 30 minute drive north for us. Picture perfect and fun! Visit the website here.
Lainey immediately took control..."Dis way, guys!"
Finally a family picture with no meltdowns.
Bebe goats!
Pumpkins to pick.
Lots of little adventures for the kids. Lainey kept busy in this house while the boys road pedal go-carts.
Jack loved this part.
Carter, too.
On the hay ride out to pick apples. Silly Laine.
Our first time to pick apples....such a fun thing to do together.
Help yourself, Lainey!
Pretty Fuji apples.
Ever use an apple picker? Loved sharing this with the kids....further clarifying that fruit and vegetables do not grow in the displays at Target.
They have a pumpkin patch, too. These are my favorite.
Chickens to feed!
I packed a picnic lunch. And, we found this great barn to eat it in. Could this farm be more precious?
A bee hive inside the market...
And, kittens!!!!!!!
I showed the kids and gushed all over them and Lainey "oohed and ahhed". But, Blake wouldn't let us take one home. Bummer.
The market.....more cuteness. Delicious candles and all sorts of goodies to take home.
I failed to take a picture of the bakery on site. We enjoyed some iced sugar cookies and could have bought tons more. But, I pledged to make some sweet goodness with the apples we picked. So, off we went.
I highly recommend this orchard if you live in the Kansas City area. Otherwise, take a look for one in your area here. We paid $6 for the bushel of apples and $3.75 for the cookies. A picnic packed from home + under $10 = a totally affordable afternoon with the fam.

What a fun day! I love your family picture!
I'm headed up to the BRPkwy this weekend there's a apple orchard up there that I go to every year! We'll hit it up again.
BTW - love the family picture! should use it for a T-day card or Christmas card!
We had an apple orchid in the small town I grew up in. They had the best apple cider and apple cinnamon bread. I just love all of the pictures you take at places like this. It looks like so much fun.

How cute are these pictures?? And the apple-picker? I want to go today! Thanks for doing all the work in finding awesome places in KC. Tony thinks I'm a genius.
You've gotten REALLY good at Photoshopping your fam into fun backgrounds. This apple picking background is one of my favorites. Bonus points for the apple picker prop.
