Finally, A Reason To Learn How To Use My DVR

I kid, of course. Blake scheduled it for me.

While I'm shuffling Carter from school to church to soccer, Nie Nie will be on Oprah today. An article from Oprah.com can be found here. I found it fascinating to learn about her "choice" as she describes it.

And, if you live under a rock or are new to the blogging world, Stepha"nie" started writing online in 2005 about her life as a young mother of 4 children. Her blog can be found here.

In August of 2008, she and her darling husband, Christian, were in a horrible plane crash. The pilot died. Christian broke his back and ankle and suffered burns on his face and neck. Stephanie's body was 83% burned. My heart breaks thinking of that reality alone.

Now, factor in their 4 children not wanting to look at her or touch her. Poor babies must have been so confused.

The Today Show did a segment on her a while back that summarizes the events, including the care of her children while she and Christian recovered initially. That can be found here. The outreach of help and support make me proud to be part of this weird little blogging world we live in. Which isn't so "little" anymore, is it?

She's back to writing and cooking again and recently posted a photo of herself after the crash - a very brave act. Such an amazing story....tune in if you have the time. If you don't, take a moment to pray for them.

After Britney posted yesterday, I've been going through each of Nienie's beautiful posts in tears. Puts life in perspective, doesn't it?
