Vacation, All I Ever Wanted

What a beauty. Seriously.

Those of you who know us, know we'd be driving this car cross country if we could find it. Settling on the 'burb instead. Purchased a Thule Cargo for the roof just to add to the absurdity of it all.

We're off in a bit.....on this crazy trip I've been planning for months. We are as prepared as we can be. I'm anticipating no less than a healthy sampling of the following:

Screaming.
Crying.
Our car smelling like a poopy diaper 90% of the time.
Books being thrown.
"Are we there yet?"
Tired children.
Tired Blake.
Cranky Caroline.
Changed itineraries.
Expensive food.
$15 noise maker/light thingys from Disneyland.
Sand in swimsuits.
Wide eyed children at first sight of Mickey Mouse.
Gasps as we gaze over the Grand Canyon.
Dreamy talks of one day moving to California.
Happy, happy kids.
Happy Daddy.
Happy Me.
Memories that last a life time.
Stories to tell down the road.
One of the top 5 vacations we'll ever take as a family.

I used to love the family road trips. One time we heard something rattling under the car while driving from TN to FL. Dad pulled over to realize a part of the car was hanging off and scraping the ground. He tied it in place with a string and we kept on driving to Disney World. Nothing was going to stop us!

I am so jealous - I would LOVE to take a vacation like this - hard to take off work for two people, but so worth it - it will truly be a lifetime of memories....can't wait to hear about it.
